Rowan rambles.

Korgan easily drags the stoner door.

Jakob manages to hum obscenely.

Simon perhaps does something foolist. Also, Simon, once again, searches: (1d20+6=17)You find 25 copper and a small, narrow red key.

Rowan replaces Terra at the door.

Jakob deduces, mayhap correctly.

Rowan wants to attack monsters.

Terra makes moving the door less of a drag.

Jakob tumbles, searches and listens: (1d20+8=12, 1d20+7=18, 1d20+6=7)Dr. House snorts, raises and eyebrow and then walks off.

Also, you manage an average summersault, find no traps and hear the ocean.

Korgan votes Monsters. The Monsters are inordinately pleased. They havn't had dwarf in a while...

Aeron exits a dimensional pocket, raining paper.

Jakob maes a comment about wishing he could use Dr. House to check for traps, checks the knob for its locked/unlocked status, and annouces that eh found no traps.
Assuming the portal is, in fact, unlocked, Jakob fades back thirty feet, and shoulders his crossbow, aiming at the door.

A locked door will lead to taking 20 on the lock.

Terra headed into the room after helping Korgan with the door. She still was not heavily amused hoping that something interesting would be happening soon. She pulled out her scimitar and got ready in case something popped out and stayed closer to the door then probably the rest of the group would.

Simon pockets the coppers thinking that if nothing else he could always give them to street urchins to make them happy. He notices that his pockets are starting to bulge and jingle a bit from all the coins and decides it might be time to split up some of the loot soon.

He stares at the key for a moment, trying to picture in his mind's eye the lock that it might go to. Then he shrugs and shoves that in his pocket as well. Never know when an odd key might come in handy.

He starts back to rejoin the others but stops as he passes the alcove where he found the strange note. He glances down at the crumpled up sheet on the floor. Something about that note was bothering him. He couldn't quite put his finger on what though. Perhaps it was the question 'If someone is so far out of it that they are coming up with such gibberish, how can they be functional enough to write it down?' that was bugging him. The whole thing seemed like utter nonsense and he wanted to just leave it behind, but the packrat inside him just wouldn't allow him to leave behind anything hypotheticly useful, no matter how worthless it might seem. With a sigh he walks over and picks up the note, uncrumples it, smooths it out, folds it up and shoves it in his pocket. Maybe he'd give it to the bard to puzzle over later.

That done, he ambles over to the door to the next room. He pokes his head in and glances around.

"Hey guys! Wow, a circular room. Don't see many of those except in towers and wells. Wonder if we're in one of those?"

"Wassup, Gnome. I never really though of the twoer/well deduction, I was too busy examining the sigils and the doors."

He glances at Simon's bulging pockets.

"I see you found yourself alot of shineys, methinks we may need to look for a Tactical fallback point and somewhere to store all this crap - perferably somewhere withfresh water, food, and a seperate pool to bathe in - but I'll take what I can get."

He quickly relises he slipped into "noble mode" for an instant and returns to his "Street Urchin" self.

"Couldya be a pal and check out the Mechanics door over there?"

Simon raises an eyebrow at Nightwind's mode of speech. He glances toward the door Jakob indicates on the north side of the chamber and nods.

"Aye. Methinks I can take a gander at that door for you."

So saying, he toddles off to check out the door with the picture of the cog above it. He checks it for traps and to see if it's locked before investigating further.

Rowan moves over to the Monster Door and waits for the rest of the party to join him there, torch in one hand, dagger in the other.

Dusting himself off and checking his various widgets and items, Aeron looks around and appraises the situation. Seeing Rowan and Terra cautiously standing near the Monster door, Aeron figures that there's something for a bard with a bow to do. Lining himself up with the door and preparing his bow, he stands wary for the Gods-know-what.

"Well, it's a good of them to label the door for us. At least now I know where to shoot."

The door is not locked. There's probably some sort of saying involving spiders and parlers that covers this. Jakob covers the door with a crossbow.

Terra covers the door with a scimitar. The door, however, remains the larger.

Simon pockets a possibly-usefull parchment and remarks at the roundness of the next room.

Jakob talks to Simon. Simon talks back. Simon checks out Cog-door the Not Burninator. Simon examines a door for traps: (1d20+6=19)The door does not have any traps that you can tell.

Rowan is at the Rat-door with dagger and torch. No pitchfork, though.

Aeron finds a bent, jagged piece of metal in a pocket that wasn't there before.

Finishing his examination of the door, Simon turns and calls out to Jakob.

"Doesn't look like this door is trapped. Sounds like an open invitation to me."

He notices everyone gathering around the south door with Jakob and decides to join them. He stops beside Aeron and pulls out the gobbledegook note, which he holds out for his perusal.

"Hey Aeron, this thing make any sense to you? I'm thinking it's some sort of code."

Of course Simon thought nothing of the sort, but if the bard thought that he did me might just drive himself mad trying to decode it.

*RETCON!*

The first time Rowan steps on a tile that clicks, he freezes in place and screams for one of the thieves.

Aeron lowers his bow, reaches for Simon's note and examines it eagerly. His face shifts from anticipation to study to down-right confusion and back again as he studies the odd characters scrawled on the page. You can almost see the sheaves of paper rustling in his head, trying to connect the words on the page with some sort of idea, something that would lend the terms some sort of grounding in this or any other plane of existence. Hells, even recognizing the name of the author would be something.

So intent and focused on the scribbled note, the bard barely hears Rowan's cry for a thief. He simply stands, the part of his brain concerned with the inevitable pain of whatever was causing all that clicking over-ridden by his pondering. One wonders why there's such a shortage of bards in the world.

Rolling his eyes, Simon toddles over to where Rowan stands screaming in the middle of the floor.

Rowan looks at Simon with alarm.

"Is the trap trigger that I'm standing on going to kill me?"

Korgan rolls his eyes from his position by the metal entry door. "Is he triggering the door trap that he just destroyed?"

Korgan wipes his hands on his knees and then draws his warhammer, waiting for someone to have some sort of plan before he strolls over to the "monster" door.

Terra hears the clicking but just hopes that the trap finders of the team can figure out what is going on before something too bad happens. "I thought I was the chick in this party," she mumbled softly to herself before chuckling to Rowan's scream. She then continued to wait to see if any nasties came out of the door or something to have fun with. She swore if it was that darn kolbold again she was going to slice it into so many pieces the party would never see it again.

Simon hands note to Aeron.

Brave Sir Rowan screams away.

Aerons' Bardic Knowledge Check: (1d20+2=5)...Well, yoga is a series of meditative exercises and bears are large furry animals.

Simon toddles over to Rowan, stepping on more squares and causing more clicks. 'Toddle' is a funny-sounding word with a fun definition.

Rowan wonders if death is imminent.

Korgan shows his deep concern and empathy. Puddles aren't so bad, are they?

Terra wants to kill something.

Jakob wants to kill something.
