Well, of course...

...How else are you supposed to make a good singing group?

It is now proved that Jess has a better sense of humor than Miko Miyazaki.

Wednesday's Comic: did you just see what I just saw?

Hmmm... maybe Jess has the arcane Weregeek powers (albeit dormant) after all...

OMG, Jess has seen the sign of the weregeek!

She'll probably fight the urge though and maybe even run to the Hunter for help! If Mark loses Jess to the hunter then that'll mean Sarah will have a better chance.

If the Hunter actually KILLS Jess (to stop the infection from claiming any more through her) then we could end up with a pretty bad ass Mark who is out for revenge. Sarah's love stays unrequited for awhile until Mark calms down a little bit and then realizes that he can't get Jess back. Very dramatic.

Apparently Sarah can call upon her vampiric alter-ego in times of stress... interesting. Good to know I'm not the only one who does that.

Actually, I don't think she was calling on it so much as it manifested on its own, which is a pretty scary thought right there.

Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Let me taste your ware."
Said the pieman to Simple Simon "Show me first your penny."
Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Sir, I have not any!"

Well, they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer. My guess is that this is just Sarah getting to know her target before destroying it from the shadows! Sarah is the evil one! Or at least the only one with a motive to commit evil so far...

Wait... Jess evil? What has she ever done?

But, yeah. I know you meant Jess. I just enjoy stating hairbrained theories.

I guess I did... I remember people saying she was evil, but I do not remember anyone taking up the other side and defending her. Though so far, all she is guilty of is having dissimilar interests to the rest of the comic's cast. Then again, I guess a non-geek in a comic for geeks and about geeks can be seen as evil. The only other frequently seen non-geek in the comic, The Hunter, is without a doubt evil... Though after seeing that post about "Wincest", I am starting to understand his motives. lol

There were people argueing both sides - But mostly it comes down to her acting like one of the stereotypical people who pick on geeks.

A lesson for you, young grasshopper - Many geeks have long and bitter memories of people like Jess. I'm not saying we hate her; I don't. It's more like what some of us expect to happen. Honetly, though, I think she has a good chance of not spazzing.

Oh, I see. It is not that she is not a geek, but that she has shown a distaste for geek culture, and there was a possibility that she would be completely unaccepting of it. So, now that she has demonstrated a tolerance for it, and the interpersonal skills to get along with geeks, she is no longer considered evil?

Er, actually I guess different geeks would have different standards. Odds are that some would be willing to stop considering her evil now, and some never will. I guess that the geek subculture is nothing if not opinionated.

Heh. Everybody is opinionated when it comes to their fandom. Take a look at football fanatics sometime. :)

That being said, argueing about characters is part of any fiction fandom. :)

Jess

Post by Dahoughtonuk »

I think Jess deep down knows of the closet geek tendencies of her current beau but doesn't want to admit it to herself though. Her last boyfriend was a geek as well remember. For some reason it was a bad experience for her, but she did try and enjoy his things. And she is good at some Geek Games. For Jess and the weregeek its balancing there sides. Jess is less geeky than her boyfriend, but she has a little in herself. As the previous poster said everyone is opionated when it comes to their fandom.

The major problems are likely to be more Sarah and Secretiveness than him being a Geek. And worse Sarah is being polite when she has a natural though unjustified dislike of Jess.

OK, either the congeniality is going to create a nice speedbump in the road to sarah/mark shipping or it's about to explode when Jess mentions that she hates someone at the school that Sarah REALLY looks up to.

Oh, and AGAIN with the Friday cliffhanger!
