Third Anniversary Art Request

Post by Dutch! »

G'day.

School Spirit turns three on June 12th, only a few weeks away now. I'm going to run the birthday week like last year if possible. I'm looking for anybody who reads it and enjoys it to pop some guest art or guest strips or birthday pictures or money or a new video card into my email box or posted here or somewhere I can easily access it and use it for that week.

I'm looking to have one each day for the week, running from Wednesday to Monday (the first Tuesday will be my own third anniversary strip, the others will come from outsiders), and then returning to the regular strips on the following Sunday.

So yeah. The kids celebrate their third birthday. If you're a reader of it and enjoy the story and so forth, I'd love to hear from you. I would prefer it that you were a regular reader if you contribute, but I'm not gonna ask prying questions or anything.

If not, I have to draw another week of stuff, and I'm back in the middle of writing school reports for the first half year at the moment.

To maybe pluck your interest a bit... the current storyline just beginning has the boys beginning to investigate the background of the spirit of the Soldier...

Cheers.

Bumped due to an almost universal overdose of indifference. :)

No promises, but I'll see if I can get something together in time. :)

Oh, bloody hell. That one's just about left me speechless. :) It looks fantastic. Thanks, much appreciated.

Cheers.

Bumping again due to the fact there's only about three weeks left. My grand total of guest strips to fill the week in question is one. :)

Since I have read most of your archives and I have some free time now, I'll try to do something this week.

Nice. A simple little idea pulled off pretty much how I'd do it myself. I sort of wish I thought of the idea first. :)

Just for a cultural difference, I think by Typex you mean whiteout? That stuff you cover pen mistakes with?

Thanks, and cheers.

Congrats on a smashing first three years, Dutch.
I made THIS little number in keeping with the spirit
of musical verse School Spirit started out with.
Hope you like it! ;)

As close to perfect as I could hope for, Will. Dead set perfect.

I might actually pinch that and use the verses in the strip itself at some point. Really touching stuff.

Guess I'm gonna have to put those words to music too... now Wendy will have two songs. :)

Yes , in Spain is called like that , but maybe because that brand is the only avaliable, I didn't think of it
