I liked your review for Solipsism. In fact, other than your review of my comic, it's the best you've ever written. (Of course, I'm biased.)

It just seems more honest to me. I mean, you haven't been delicate in your other reviews, but I do feel like you have been pulling your punches until now, which was disappointing. Especially considering what you had to say about One-liners:
I'm going to suggest this comic to anyone who can take a joke for what it is and not get offended easily. I wish more people would say what they really feel and not hide behind political correctness, which to me is a way of saying you're a puss. One-liners is definitely not a puss.
I wish I could better articulate why I feel this way. I actually felt more strongly, but upon going through your site again to find examples, it didn't seem as bad to me. Anyways, I hope you continue to improve.

*I wonder if he's been talking to Neko...*

Honestly, I wrote an even harsher review for Solipsism but toned it down. Being for the most part a free medium, I sometimes wonder just how far I should go. But, people have a right to know whether a comic is worth their time or not, so I'm trying to let loose a bit more and just be honest. I'm never going to be able to please everyone, and the whole idea of being a reviewer is telling the truth, good or bad. Thanks for the encouragement Shishio, I do believe I needed it.

I just randomly pick out of the comics already reviewed, Lifeofthekalahari. I may never get to everyone, but I'm going to try and send out one interview a week. You never know, maybe you'll be next!

Olive, Gin and Hazel are members of the blacktail meerkat clan, the smallest meerkat group in the kalahari. But remember, size doesn't matter....

only 7 chimps??? :(

I knew that I had to re-write the first pages or.. redo them.

But I'm sad. I won't forgive you with this! :(

and one more thing: that wasn't the most pleasing picture to choose for representing my comic. you can put up a more recent one.

Does anyone else think there's a few many webcomic review sites? Meh, I'll just figure out which one thinks the way I do and go with that.

I'm sorry, but not everyone is going to share your view about your comic. I reviewed it the way I saw it. Someone else will most likely give you an entirely different viewpoint. I'm sorry that you're taking it so hard. :(

uhm... it's not that I think I'm the best. I just need new readers and *cough* I'm sure an average comic would tear people away so...

The point is that I have a long way to go till I'll get to a point with this comic. And to improve the language as well as correcting it. Since I'm not a native English speaker, I couldn't think of wordplays at the time, as you said I did on that page (and many others) I know I improved a bit since then, but never got the chance to have a look back. I guess it was sometihng like ... i thought: well I hope this phrase won't bother anyone. I couldn't think of anything better. but hey... there is still time to go back.

All I remember is that I knew a bit of English, had a story and some characters to make the story, so I decided to start a webcomic.

yeah I know I'm waaay too proud and I can't stand critique and low-ratings. That's just me and my biggest flaw. maybe I'll fix this sometime.

well, however, thanks for the review. and I hope you'll come back to my comic... one day to see how it improved. ;)

I NEVER said that it wasn't a good comic, I just pointed out some things that I thought could be improved. Maybe the tone of the review came across as mean spirited, but that wasn't my intention. Your comic actually is one of the better drawn of the ones I've reviewed. But the writing, because you aren't a native English speaker(of which I didn't know, or I would have put it in the review) comes across a little awkward, which you are improving on. No comic out there is perfect, just please learn to take constructive criticism. And I will come back to your comic, and perhaps give an update of it on the site. Also, negative or positive, people will still check out the comic. Any press is good press!

And remember, that advice is coming from a bloke who grizzled and sulked for a week or so when his own work was ripped apart! ;) He's been there, done that!

And don't worry about not having English as a first language. I've had that in both of the reviews my strip's got! ;)

This is true. My comic got ripped to shreds, but I eventually got over it, and I still like my comic, and think it's good stuff. Everyone's got an opinion. Thanks for reminding me Dutch!!
Oh, also another review up. This time for Office Stix!

Yes. I too got seven chimps, and I've had a fair number of hits from the review. Everyone will try something once, it seems.
