OMG! Choice Comics has been hacked!!

Post by Fleakitten »

Anyone been by CC yet? They've been down a couple of days. I just checked the site and saw a message saying who hacked it.

Make sure to run a virus and spyware scan right away. It's not uncommon for website hackers to leave little "presents" for incoming browsers, and its better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, with great sadness it is true. However, to the best of my knowledge no presents were left and the hacking was done just to show off the enormous e-peen some turkish hackers have the illusion of having.

At any rate, my host and I are working diligently to bring the site back up. Least they didn't touch my redesign :) I feel as though I've progressed to the next step in the life of CC and have learned a lot through this experience.

FYI to phpBB2 users, the moment and upgrade notice comes through... best be upgrading.

That is all :)

You got the right idea Turnsky, but real hacking needs something heavier... let me have a talk with those hackers so I can "axe" them a few questions!

Previous experiences have caused me to be very little tolerating of hackers...
