I respond whenever I'm online. Sometimes, it takes longer than that.

People get fanmail?! :o :(

Seriously, whatever little I've gotten, I try to respond quickly...I check my email at least once a day. However, I don't get a lot of inquiry-type mail, so I have to remember to respond even if nobody asks me a question directly. :P

It's highly variable for me.

I try to respond right away, but sometimes (read: frequently) I'm checking my email in rush while on my way somewhere else. When this happens, I tend to just read the emails really fast and then plan to respond in the near future.

In practice, 'near future' can stretch to three weeks or so. I always feel stupid, but I keep doing it...

I always respond when I don't accidentally delete the original thinking it's spam.

I remember the girl fan I had, who was swooning over me so much that she wanted to increase my penis size, I repeatedly deleted her mail thinking it was spam.

I generally reply in one-to-two days. ARGLE.

A note though - one disadvantage of posting a @hotmail.com address is that people add you to MSN. It's annoying at times, but I got to know a few awesome people in the process.

if she were really swooning over you, she'd have been happy with the current size of your penis.

How long it takes me to respond to an e-mail:

If you're some complete stranger who I'm never likely to meet, but you're writing in regards to my comic strip—

I'll often respond within minutes. At the very, very, latest, I'll respond by the next day.

If you're an actual friend/relative of mine—

you're lucky if I don't delete it unviewed with the rest of the spam. Why are you e-mailing me, anyway? Is your #$@% phone broken?

I get several hundred fan mails a day and I just don't have time to read them all so I just delete everything in my mailbox that looks comic-related, since most of them are probably from annoying 8-year-olds anyways. Although, after a while people started figuring this out so they tried to trick me by making their e-mails seem like they're not comic-related, so now I just delete everything I get because I just don't have time to deal with any of it. I guess I could hire someone to sort through it all, but I'm really struggling to maintain my waffle budget and I don't really have a lot of extra cash laying around and I don't even have a job right now and I bet no one wants to go through all these garbage e-mails anyways.

It's true, Lego replies quickly. I wasn't expecting any reply and there it was. In my case I've never had any fan mail. Hell, I've had a web design business for five years and never got any business. Hmmm. That doesn't bode well for my toons...

On the rare occasion I get fanmail, I usually reply within a day or so - though with the computer and email problems I've been having recently, I just replied to one now that I got over a month ago! (Oops...)
