how do i put an image online

can anyone tell me how to put an image online in a way that allows me to post it on forums, i tryed to do it by putting an image into the images folder, but all i can get is the ftp address, and that wont post, im sure other people know how to do this, please help i need to put my ad up in places, thanks!

If you have an image in the images folder of your ftp space, the address should be: <A HREF="http://yourcomic.keenspace.com/images/filename.ext" TARGET=_blank>http://yourcomic.keenspace.com/images/filename.ext</A>
As for how to post it in a forum, you surround the URL with the UBB code image tag, which I believe is:
(img)http://yourcomic.keenspace.com/images/f ... .ext(/img) except with square brackets instead of parentheses.Here's an image from my site:
