Saturday Night Live did landsharks once upon a time. I was really young then though.[AOD] wrote:Well what about killer... erm... moths? Killer butterflies? Killer dung beetles?
I still think they should consider my "land sharks" idea. They'd even have material for sequels: "Pool Sharks" and "Laundry Sharks"!

Yep, it was one of the original skits way back in the 70s. The shark was voiced by Chevy Chase.rkolter wrote:Saturday Night Live did landsharks once upon a time. I was really young then though.[AOD] wrote:Well what about killer... erm... moths? Killer butterflies? Killer dung beetles?

you know, years and years ago some kid pitched an idea similar to this. i don't exactly know why he was telling ME about the idea, but it's possible someone with influence heard him talking about it and stole the idea, good for them.

This looks like the kind of parody where the come up with on of the most idiotic ideas possible and have the whole movie play it strait and serious with no real jokes. Directors need to do stuff like this more often instead of the recent trend of having people dress as popular characters and then get smacked in the head for cheap laughs.
Just don't tell this guy.Mr.Bob wrote:I guess there's no record of butterflies DIRECTLY killing anyone...
He thinks the monarch butterfly is deadly.

There needs to be a movie about rabid cougars running rampant and killing people. At least that's what we'll SAY it's about. We'll call it Cougars. Then when people actually watch the movie, they'll find that it's really about elderly women with a lust for younger men, infected with rabies, lopping heads off.

Of course we would then have to kill all of the audience after every show, just so they can't warn the others. That might even work, but would then go and see the sequel?JTorch wrote:Then when people actually watch the movie, they'll find that it's really about elderly women with a lust for younger men, infected with rabies, lopping heads off.
By the way, I've heard monarch butterflies can be deadly. If you eat more than four dozen at once.

I'd imagine we'd get it solely on DVD much like "Shaun of the Dead"RemusShepherd wrote: It's a real film, and it's coming out in the UK and Australia this year, but they didn't say if it was picked up by any american movie distributor.
Y'all may laugh, but as a shepherd this is one of my worst nightmares.
