What if the climatic battle took place in an isolated environment?

Like, a cliff overlooking choppy waters infested with sharks? A mix of hammerhead and great white sharks, to be precise.

There would still be innocent bystanders. In that case... tourists and local fishermen.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

How does the area generate tourism with the danger of its shark-infested waters?

Do the fishermen and sharks engage in some sort of cooperative effort where they hold MMA/Ultimate Fighting matches between each other?

The less sense it makes, the more appropriate it is to a comic book situation.

...I'm not entirely sure, so I'll put "good sidekick".

Really, I'd like to be the roomie of the superhero, sort of thing. Not quite a sidekick, but always around. Until the hero moves out. But in comics terms, that could take upwards of 20 years.

I put the Collateral one because I always try to help but usually just get killed.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

Okay that makes sense, but I would fear retcons.

I voted antihero, but I use the anime version of an antihero, in which the moody character is mysterious in the first season, the villain in the second season, and then he gets beaten and for some reason sides with the hero who just kicked his ass six ways from sunday in the third season.

I tend to be more of a questioning hero, constantly examaning my decisions rather than yeilding loyalty to what I consider to be "good."
The unexamined life is not worth living.
Its a role which most every side loaths as most people like to believe they are wiser than they already are, and qualifies neither as a hero, nor a villian.

Judging from my jam history, I've been a badguy, goodguy, sidekick, collateral damage, bystander, or just nonexistent. I guess that makes me a misguided villain.

Although if there was a "sells to both sides" option, that'd be Risky.

The House of Claude are a dedicated group of bystanders. Whereas all other organisations with money and influence seem intent on some form of world domination, we're quite happy where we are. We'll only do anything about anything if it's our fault.

or it's the snoo.

i'm not sure how to anser, as there is no "evil hero" option.

seriously, I choose good or evil on a case-by-case basis, that has nothing to do with personal safety. I guess anti-hero is the closest option...

Doesn't that make it less appropriate to a comic book situation?

I think, therefore, I get a headache.

I don't know who that is....

More like Uryuu Ishida from Bleach. (Cause I already look like him anyway)

I went for Misguided villain. Though I think of it more as the Misunderstood character. You know the kind, where they are seen as one way but actually are the other when you discover more about them.

Definately a goodie of some description, reluctant or not. But I dunno if I've done enough within CG canon to warrant a full blown 'hero' status or not. Probably somewhere between hero and anti-hero I guess, but there's far too many dang anti-heroes. Serious thought into my online CG persona avatar fictional character alter-ego etc etc goin' on up in he-yah.

Of course reading this thread makes me think of the ol' Rawk Out. Which makes me think some more...
What a rubbish signature.

Maybe we'd have more heroes if we had an option for "Misguided Hero:" the one who tries to save the day but accidentally ends up aiding the villain instead.
