no, I'm not bitter
Sounds like SOMEONE hasn't yet accepted their fate and consoled themself to a life filled with work, stress, and sacrifice in the name of a higher calling.

Wait.....that's MY plan for dealing with lack of love. :( Whatever. :-?

Congrats you two, have fun. Or have "fun". Just...do things to/with each other.

No angsting in the happy thread!

And you'd be better off stuffing your heart in a steel cage of emotional distance and ruthlessly regarding every potential love interest as a toy to be used on a whim, as I have, anyway. Image

cort's actually making a reference, not emoing.

He said, "No, I'm not bitter", which implies he is in fact bitter, and is making a reference to an event in his life.

As opposed to saying say, "Oh God I'm so Alone! I tried to cut my wrists but I can't afford razor blades! My cat ate my goldfish and then it left me for a dog! My girlfriend came out as gay, and left with my mother, and I'm all out of black makeup so I had to wear sparkly pink!" D:

Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."

Well, yeah, I figured that. It was the mention of the bitterness in a happy thread that I bapped about. Even if it's not technically emo, it's still a bappable offense.

I'm in agreement with you there.

Instead of bapping them, you should make them listen to NJ and Orion talking all lovey-dovey to each other.

I think that might violate the Geneva convention, the 8th Amendment, and a few religious rules.

Anyway, congrats to NJ and Orion. ^_^

I would like to point out, in my defense, that I was never read my Miranda rights, the arresting officers did not allow for my attorney to be present during questioning, I offered up name, rank, and serial number, and I DID wish them a happy trip and other things!

Which still stand. But less so towards Sparrow for violating my basic rights by bopping and not whipping when I clearly prefer being whipped.

Hello, hello? What's all this noise? This is a local thread for local people, we'll have no bapping here!

A throwaway remark made in gest requires not the attention, nor the stigma with which it has been attributed.

I should be happy with simply extending my congratulations, and the hope for continued happiness.

Now, I'm off to go drink some blackberry cider. I may be some time.

Oiy Oiy! Lucky NJ, LUCK-E!

I can't even see my lady-friend till next year what with work and all.

Last year, for Xmas, we did. But she still had to work and this time I can't get the time off. It would be nice if she lived closer.

:(

Remember NJ, the quickest way to a man's heart is through the rib cage, but the easiest way is to slip the blade an inch or two in, just under the breast bone, push into his gut with the hilt, and then shove upwards towards the heart, with all your strength.

RK that's the most romantic thing on this thread.
