Flaky archive issue

Post by Moonshadow »

I'm wondering if this is a known glitch or something... periodically someone will tell me that my archive is glitched, that they can get about halfway through it, then every time they hit the "next day" button, it jumps them to the main page/current day. I've tested it myself; I'll even try directly accessing different pages in the affected range through the big calendar archive, and every one I've tried jumps me to the current day. I'm using the standard autokeen tags, and it happens when I haven't done anything more than add pages for coming updates; it seems to go away if I go in and run a full update, but it's inconvenient to say the least. Anyone know anything about this?

Hum... Not sure what could cause it, but what I'd recommend is that next time it happens, do not fix it right away, post again with a link to the faulty page and a list of what you've changed in your account in the last few days. Maybe we'll spot the cause of your problems that way.

I'll give that a shot, but the weird thing about it is that normally I haven't changed anything at all in my account. (In fact, this time it did it during a period when I didn't have any updates and before I'd uploaded the new ones.)

I've seen this happen, both to me and to others, and have never seen a real reason for it, especially since the updater only by default checks the last 30 days now. :-?

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
