More help

Post by CartoonGraveyard »

So, I am having a world of trouble and if anyone can give me help in the simplest of terms, i would be so grateful. Whats happening is that everytime I update my site, it only updates the archived pages and not the main page. I've altered the code in both indextemplate and daily templates and still, no change. Also, only my previous and first comic buttons are showing up, the other two buttons (next and todays comic) remain the standard default links rather then the images I've made. I've read through wiki and gear and nothing is helping. I dont know if I'm just doing it wrong or what. please please help!!

1. Make sure that both your indextemplate and dailytemplate are in just workspace and that there are NO copies in workspace/webpages

2. Double check the names of your FPNL buttons. Make sure they are names first_day.jpg, previous_day.jpg, next_day.jpg, and last_day.jpg (substitute .jpg with whatever filetype you are using.)

3. Make sure the extensions on the images are lowercase.

4. Double check your ***tags***. Make sure they are as follows: ***first_day***, ***previous_day***, ***next_day***, ***last_day***.

If none of that helps you, let us know right here.

EDIT: Also, you should post the URL of your comic so we can see exactly what's going on.

Also, a note on the buttons. Usually, they don't work correctly until you have more than three comics up. If you don't have more than three, don't worry about it until you do.

And as JTorch said, your URL is ESSENTIAL in help requests, so we can see what's going on... maybe look at your code. Please post it.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."
