Well I am going to pitch two things here.
First off I am experimenting with a “choose your own adventure”. The readers suggest what happens in the story and then the options are voted on using donations. Once an option reaches the monetary threshold ($35), I illustrate and add that comic to the adventure tree. You can go to the root of the adventure here:

I really need suggestions for what should happen next in the story.
The second thing I want to pitch is my main comic “The World of Exiern”. It is a story about a Barbarian Warrior Man who was transformed into a Barbarian Warrior Maiden. She/He is trying to navigate the world in His/Her new form while she/he searches for a cure to his/her condition. (Pronouns are such a pain in this situation) You can see the main comic here:

Finally I feel I should mention the etc. Every Tuesday I try to post a weird comic unrelated to the main story line. Some times it is about a perverted inventor and his adventure girlfriend or about an angel with a hearing disability or anything else that pops into my head.
Because the comic cover so many different things I call it Dimension Hopping. After all you never know what world you will end up in next.
A Transgender Barbarian, A Choose Your Own Adventure and etc
Honestly, I don;t think anyone should try a donation thing unless you are an establish artist with some fanbase.
And, to be completely honest, What I saw was not compelling enough to donate any amount.
But I also think, that in theory with an establish webcomic and/or artist or site, that that is an excellent concept. I am unsure if it has been implemenated elsewhere.
Personally, I'm a fan when Mab at DMFA has a her (psuedo-patented) wallpaper wars. http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Arch_WW.php ... but of course she has a HUGE fanbase and a long and well established comic and site.

Actually the whole CYOA idea does not require any donations at all. The submission of ideas for what happens next is completely free. And I have promised to illustrate on page every two week donations or not. The donation thing is just a way to push things along if people are antsy to see a particular path expanded.
Right now I am just testing things out. I think this is a good idea but I want to see what how much work it will require and if other people are interested the concept. If it works I think I might find a good artist and pay them to illustrate the adventure.
As for being established? Well I have been around for a year and I have a few loyal readers. My art suck beans but I try my best to make something fun for people to read. I doubt I will ever be famous but I enjoy doing the comic and that ultimately is all the really maters isn't it?

Ah I see how it works now.
Yea, I have no idea about your fanbase, so that why I stated everything as just a general comment.
But yes, the CYOA is a great idea.
