God, where do I start...

Post by Stuck »

I have NO jeffing clue as to what I'm doing. I want a nice looking site, but man... all this AutoKeen and HTML and FTP is really confusing. I need some serious help.

Can someone just... make my site for me? lol

Um...

I'm not going to offer to make your site, no. because I don't know what you want on your site... or even what the theme of your comic is.

You've checked the tutorials, right? So just take it a step at a time. Google some html tutorials (You don't need much! This one should get you by, unless you try something really fancy).

Then, you can worry about an ftp program, and all that. Just take it a step at a time. Once you get into it, it becomes second nature.

Perhaps one of these people can. (click)

Don't worry: it's a common problem. Html looks intimidating to those who aren't familiar with it... even to some of us who are. Once you learn it, it becomes like riding a bike... albeit a bike with lots of weird gadgets and codes.

But you're welcome to try the Yellow Pages thread.

My suggestion is to use one of the templates provided by Gear, and mess around with it until you gain confidence with your HTML skills.

Heh, I downloaded a pre made template and used that for a while...Than I started to totally dink around with it...Than I wandered off on Google and got a bunch of sites for beginners HTML, here's the one I use the most:

Just practice and eventually you'll be able to make something moderately functional!...or at least change things one a template so they look more original...
