Easy enough. Go to Shinra Mansion in Nibbleheim, get the numbers for the safe upstairs, open it, waste the boss, grab the key, and go to the basement and pester him until he tells you to fuck off. Then leave and he'll say "No, wait, stop, come back." and you have a shiny new Vincent.KittyKatBlack wrote:Oh shit, that reminds me. ...oh. I didn't think to actually CHECK the safe. I just got Odin and thought that was it. -_-rock_dash wrote:Easy enough. Can't comment as much on 8, since I haven't finished it... but yeah, I like 7 in spite of the hatred.Terotrous wrote:I liked FF7 and 8, despite all the hatred for them.

And Quistis' outfit is pink, if anyone really gives a rat's arse.
Yeah, to be fair, I never finished 8 either. I might should do that someday. I do like 7, it's probably my second favorite, right after 6.ManyWorlds wrote:Can't comment as much on 8, since I haven't finished it... but yeah, I like 7 in spite of the hatred.Terotrous wrote:I liked FF7 and 8, despite all the hatred for them.

And what's this about Vincent sucking? Have you actually USED him? His limit breaks are powerful and deal continuous damage, as long as you don't have the powerful bad luck of breaking one out on a boss that shares an elemental affinity with his attacks.

The only people I used were Cid, Yuffie and RedXIII. Vincent has an awful Ultimate Weapon and I don't like Beserkers so I didn't use him much. I do enjoy FFVII; it's a fun game if you ignore the rabid fanboism surrounding it.
FFVIII has some pacing issues and it's rather uneventful for a long period of time. Too bad it seems Squall is the only character that develops and everyone else is just sort of there. But like Keffria said, the card game was pretty awesome.

Quistis' out fit is salmon!
Not on my screen!
Then let us examine Tetsuya Nomura!
Who cares!?
What's that supposed to mean!?
...er yeah!?
Oh shit, I'm having WAY too much fun with this.
I know, I know. I'm sorry for the double post, but I needed to post those.

Hm, I played VIII before VII, and I wasn't a huge fan of either (though I admit to enjoying them both in a way, just not in a fangirly way). I never used Vincent, incidentally. Actually, I tend to stick with the first few people I'm given in a game, since they tend to be the ones that get the most development or at least screen time, whereas subsequent characters are often tacked on for fanservice or weirdness-value.
In retrospect, however, there were far, far worse games than those two. *off the top of her mind, eyes Legend of Dragoon*

Ah Legend of Dragoon.
"Silly Emporer!"
*shudder
however if we really want to talk about bad RPGs, may I point you in the direction of Brians Quest for the GBC?
Quest 64 was tollerable if you removed your brain. Brians Quest would make you want to commit suicide. If Albedo just distributed some of those instead of using the song of Nephalim, then he'd get the job done much easier.

Probably not. I just wanted to have him in my party just for the sake of having him. (I mean I've got weapons for him, so I figured I might as well.)SergeXIII wrote:Are you actualy thinking about USING Vince? 'cuz... he sucks pretty hard.
His limit break is like Rinoa's Angel Wing without the loop hole.
(Angel Wing loop hole: Give Rinoa only Meteor)
So far I've been using Tifa, Cloud and Cait Sith.
That's a good team. As irratating as she was, I'd actually use Yuffie a lot and have Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie as a big team. Although I think I used Red XIII during the final battle instead. Either way, it didn't last long.
And back to the original theme (yeah I know I'm coming in late here) it looks Salmon to me so I voted for pink. And as silly as this arguement may seem, I've done one similar to it.
In 7th grade there was debate in the orchestra over Sebastian (from Disney's Little Mermaid). Most of the class said he was a lobster... which is incorrect. It's obvious he's a crab. It even SAYS so in the movie. But they weren't satisfied that I knew more than they did. so we put it to a vote in my math class (the teacher allowed it because I promised to graph the results on the overhead projector so we could incorporate math with it...) The majority of students actually believed that Sebastian was a lobster. Here's the fun part... I HAD A COPY OF THE MOVIE WITH ME FOR THEM TO LOOK AT. >.< Kids are dumb.
