Connecticon 2006

Nanda and I went to the Connecticon comic convention and met KrisX, Spriteville, Tim, and his brother Andy. Much fun was had. We took pictures!

After the con we had a hard time finding a place to eat. When we did find a place it took a long time to get food.

Overall it was more fun to meet CGers than go to the actual con... Moral of the story, screw the fanbase, go for the artists. Oh and Hartford is a horrible place to hold a convention, I'm trying Cali next time or Canada.

I really had to bump the contrast up on Sprite's (explaining the grey box).

All told, I have to agree with Kris. Meeting you crazy folk was by far the best part of the entire experience, and if I weren't meeting people (or manning my own table) I probably wouldn't bother with ConnectiCon again. But be that as it may, meeting up with you guys was worth the price of admission.

For the record, we were playing Pirates. I totally decimated his fleet with my kraken and Davy Jones.

The owl here is supposed to represent my brother. He couldn't decide what kind of avatar he wanted, and we eventually settled for this. He's an artist (went to school for it and everything) with a passion for drawing birds of prey. It was either that or a Roman Legionnaire (he also re-enacts).

The Chibi Chibi still makes me laugh.
