Ren Fest pics from Kentucky!!!!!

Post by Sebastis »

Well Here they are folks! Just as promised! The Ren Fest Pics.

I guess I need to explain some stuff. Well I had to beg Omega to wear the Kilt. (I think he looked Fab, but I'm his wife I'm supposed too) :shucks: (Giggle).

Our Cub Had a blast! He got a new wooden sword, rode a horse, and got splattered with mudd at the mud show.

Ofcourse last but not least the story about the bug in the bodice. Well The dress I'm wearing you have to wear a corset with. I had leaned over for something I don't quite remember right now, but next thing I know this bug goes right between my clevage and down my corset! I tried in a very unlady like way to fish it out at first. It bit me 3 times till I was able to step aside somewhere undo the from of my dress and corset and get it out. Not fun!

But other than that it was a blast. Oh and it's going to be a perminent Ren Fest just like the one in Ohio. They haven't built the castle yet but they have the space cleared for it.

Come check it out if you can.

Love
Seba

Excellent stuff. Back at Nor-Cal ren-faire, the best attractions would be this one show whose title says it all: BOLD (and stupid) MEN!, whereapon two gentlemen strive to show just how the average man should act to be truly Bold (and Stupid). For example.

"How to start a duel. First, we need an object to fight over." *Looks out into the audience* "Ah, you there, young lady. What is your name?"
Young, bewildered woman: "....Michelle..."
B(aS) Man #1: "Ah....Micheeeelle....gentlemen in the audience, say her name all together, the bold and stupid way!"
All men: "Micheeeelle"
B (aS) Man #2: "Michelle, do you know what your name is in Swaihili?"
Michelle: "...No..."
Both Bold and Stupid men: "Mmmmmmmmmmmm." Etc.

And of course, these two jugglers/performers known as Broon and Monie the Magnificent. These guys are so funny that while they're running through their finale, it'd difficult to maintain control of your bowels.

Sounds messy... ugh...

Yeah, this was my first RenFest wearing a kilt... my "bonnie knees" for all the world to see. Actually, we're planning on going back on the 24th... Sebastis is working on a new costume for me... it's gonna ROCK!

Ok, maybe I exaggerated a little bit. But these guys are hysterical. Pity Nor-Cal RenFaire isn't until August. Ah well

I only dress up for Ren Faires when I can wear my sword

Personally, I dig WWII reenacting, but my girlfriend likes Rennie stuff better. I have the necessary gear... somewhere... wool cloak = fuzzy winter blanket!

Well, they are quite boney... and very untanned... I think I put a few people's eyes out when they looked my way.

The colors aren't my clan colors... just a pattern my wife picked up. My official clan heraldry is Clan Donald from the Isle of Skye.

I've attended RenFairs in "civilian" garb, in tights, and in kilts. There's usually just one thing that makes it a really good experience.

Being there with someone you like to spend time with.
