Passkey

Post by Maxgoof »

The passkey attaches to his badge of office, huh?

"Wow...this is magic, huh? And where you come from, they have magic generators? That's a nice medal you're wearing. Can I see it?"

Might make for an interesting plot.

Reminds me of the Kevin and Kell strip where Lindisfarne is turned into a human:
Lindisfarne: RUDY!
Rudy: Cripes, Lindy, I'm right here!
Lindisfarne: Sorry, suddenly I have no smell perception.

It seems to me that "someone" decided the people best qualified to continue going in and out through the Mistwall were the questors...

LENNY! HA! Thats funny stuff. I like how the passkey fits into the questor badge. I agree, someone was thinking ahead.

Mmm, watermelon pie. I don't believe I've ever tried that. I wonder what it tastes like?

now that the formalities are over with it's time for pie.
so i was wondering is the mist wall a physical barrier,
you know kinda like a foce feild?? because there was a pic back with the fog rolling in and a human farmer there.
so i figured at first it was just plain old fog so you can pass back and forth through it normaly...
but if it requires a key then that must mean there is a deturrent
of some sort?

WATERMELON PIE

1/2 med. watermelon
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. orange juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 env. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water

Scoop out the pulp and remove the seeds from the watermelon. Place about 2 cups in a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the watermelon puree to a large pitcher. Repeat with enough of the remaining watermelon pulp to measure 6 cups puree. Stir in the sugar, orange juice and lemon juice; set aside. In a small saucepan soften the gelatin in cold water. Heat and stir until gelatin dissolves. Add gelatin mixture into a container - cool completely and seal. Freeze 2 hours or until partially frozen, stirring after every hour. Transfer half of the partially frozen mixture to a medium mixing bowl, return remaining half to freezer. Beat mixture in mixing bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Mix and freeze remaining half. Freeze 4 to 6 hours or until firm. Let stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving. Makes 2 quarts.

WATERMELON SPICE PIE

1 1/2-2 c. white of rind of
watermelon, chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. nuts
Pie shell

Combine watermelon rinds with just enough water to cover and bring to a boil. Simmer until tender and drain. Add the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a pie shell. Bake at 450 degrees until brown. Reduce heat to 350 degrees until filling is set like pumpkin pie. Top with Cool Whip.

Make some and let us know Doink. :)

Well, as I understand it, the Mistwall takes the physical form of a nearly opaque fog. But that conceals the real barrier - enchantments to misdirect, deter, or otherwise confound or dissuade any would-be intruders.

Obviously it works on Rac Conan as well, otherwise the "passkey" wouldn't be needed.

There is a problem with using leaded utensils. They can cause serious health risks.

If that is true, then what happend to the other Questor's badge and key?
What if the people see/hear

and then they could just waltz into the Rac Conan towns with out the questor knowing.

But the other question is why havent they done that yet?

It's for the same reason that we don't have tens of millions of cases of identity theft every time tens of millions of names are stolen from a laptop. Most of the time, the new possessors have no idea what they have.
