I take your Photoshop/XP/OS X combination and raise you and "I didn't pay a cent for my software and it's all legal, so PHBBBT!"
faub.. the illegality makes it taboo and all the more sexy.
Like beastiality.
Wait, now, that would have made sense if you still had the cat avatar, but now I am just confused. And disturbed.
I have the free trial version of photoshop CS2 for another couple weeks and I got the educational version of Illustrator for $100. So... yeah. I wish I had the real version.

So is that like putting a zip disc in my dvd player? It'll fit if I try hard enough, but nothing productive will occur.
you might have to apply some lubricant to make it fit.

speaking of Linux, Faub... I'm looking for some good soft synth software for Linux.. commercial or otherwise.. know any good sites I can research on that. as I'm trying to remain mostly on Linux these days but all my music software is windows based. so looking for alternatives.
<KittyKatBlack> You look deranged. But I mean that in the nicest way possible. ^_^;

Sorry, I should have phrased that better. When I said "real version" I meant "the whole CS2 suite with Illustrator and Photoshop and all that crap".
But even with education prices it's still like $500. I don't even own a scanner.
I wish I had a Photoshop, what so ever. I'm still useing paint. *cries* It was alright for me at first. But as my art improves, I feel it's holding me back.

I've never actually used it, but I heard it's almost exactly like photoshop, completely free and everyone who's used it has said nothing but good things about it.

It took faub a lot of convincing to get me to switch from Micrografx Picture Publisher. After all the whining and screaming at trying to figure things out (I was jumping an 8 year difference in software), I found out that Gimp can do some really incredible stuff! I've been using nothing else since. ^_^

I hear Gimp is good. It's free too and Faub linked to it. You can also get a cheap version of photoshop called Elements that's like 80 bucks or so. It comes with scanners much of the time too.
Would anyone pick Gimp over photoshop? 'Cause I use photoshop exclusively at the moment, but I have Gimp as well. I tried using Gimp once for about 5 minutes, then switched back because I didn't think Gimp did anything. Maybe I just don't know how to use it?
