I think any complaint is valid. The fact that the reviewer was confused on certain issues could say more about your comic than any of the factually correct bile he spewed.

I'm generally opposed to linking to reviews anyway, it rarely comes off as anything but obnoxious, but if you are it would be best to link to reviews regardless of the light they present you in. It adds a veneer of credibility.
