...why?

Post by Grabmygoblin »

scientists make water run uphill

they claim they did it as an experimental new cooling procedure, but I'm pretty sure this was just a drunk bet.

A lot of good science has come from drunk scientists making and taking bets. I have an entire book of scientific advances like that.

You might be laughing now, but when they develop the uphill water death cannon, who's going to be laughing then?

Wanna see liquid travel up instead of down? Easy.

Make a bowl of cereal. Dig your spoon in nice and deep. Pull it out again. Notice that most of the milk that falls from the spoon lands safely in the bowl. But little drips will actually rise to attach themselves to the bottom of the spoon.

Trust me. It probably has something to do with static and gravity.

God isn't going to like this. It was actually going to be the 11th commandment. "Thou shalt not make water run uphill".

Actually, the eleventh commandment is inscribed on a large rock half way down Greenmount Hill on the Great Eastern Highway, Perth. The faithful flock to it every year.

It says, and I quote "Thou shalt not speed."

I'd heard there were 15 commandments until someone fumbled and dropped five.

Explains a lot really. Think about it - don't you save your best material for last?

seeing as I'll be the one running the death cannon, there shall be much laughter, maniacal laughter, but still.

actually, the first time Moses walked down to the bottom of the mountian he shattered the commandments because he saw his followers worshiping a golden calf. God was kinda pissed when he came back up and asked for another copy. but I don't remember my Catholic school lessons enough to tell you if there were 15 originally

eventually we will replace the word "overclocking" with "hydrating"
