A quick and easy solution to that I've found is to open up Word or whatever processor you use, copy your post into it, spellcheck, and copy/paste back into the box. A little extra work, but worth it for clarity of speech.

I must wonder. Is ASCII is stalling or if he really is considering whether or not to surrender. I sense at least one massive ego in that room. I wonder if ASCII got that patronizing streak from Rick.
as i said i move around a lot and I try to use a word processor when one is available but on some of the computers that I use wordpad is the most advancer word processor installed for whatever reason be it reformatting or that the computer’s owner never bought and word processor for it.

Ah, I know how that can be.. computer surfing. Ugh. Drove me batty back when I used to do that.
I made a "gift" out of Word Perfect 9 to those people, but I got that copy free from my friend's work's christmas party, after it was obsolete... If you can manage to run into a license for word or word perfect, though, it's a pretty good way to make your friends happy and give yourself access to word processing goodness.
As for Word Pad. Who the heck thought that would be a good idea? I mean, honestly. All it does is make us open text documents in a poor fashion.. @_@.

Indeed. Notepad is more useful, because it can be used to edit HTML.Cyril_Dran wrote:Ah, I know how that can be.. computer surfing. Ugh. Drove me batty back when I used to do that.

Wordpad is good only for reading documents.
The old WordPerfect was a good program, but it's obsolete now. Have you tried OpenOffice?
Not bad at all, for a free download. It's the free version of StarOffice, by Sun Microsystems.

O.o Monty? I haven't seen you since I left the N&T forum. Now I can't recall if you had posted in this forum before and I just forgot or whatnot. Just in case, welcome aboard. What brings you strolling in and delurking for a post?

A good story is always worth the time spent to read it, even if one doesn't agree with all that it implies. I've been following both the comic and the forum since the mad scientist's convention in the comic's previous incarnation. With several book-cases full of science fiction and fantasy novels in my home, I've always found the "funny mad scientist" genre entertaining.Andrick wrote:O.o Monty? Open Office is damn good. I used it to write my Master's Thesis.
(I woulda used LaTeX but with so many vector-based diagrams OLE'd Visio diagrams were utterly vital.)
