It really depends on how Ralph wants to make the details in the next few strips. If Quentyn is making semi-frequent trips back to restock supplies and the village is putting up a tab on it, gratitude will be replaced by resentment over time...greatbeast wrote:I highly suspect the village will be grateful to quentyn for Saving the village form the lawyers and guild. Got a little proposal... (4/17)

I think the term "sniffing out" could legitimately throw people off. It really sounded to me like you were talking about some dog or other non-anthropomorphic animal, and I was somewhat puzzled, because I couldn't remember anything like that.
But Nessie.... Hmmmm. I suppose it's possible, but I have trouble picturing Nessie going along.

Why would she have to?
We have no idea her current range, esp. now that she's had some training.
She needn't enter the picture right away. Quentyn has to make one trip to get one object for her to home in on. Meanwhile she's at wizard central boning up. By the time she's ready to play she may not have to physically go anywhere to help.

I have trouble picturing Quentyn inviting Nessie. I have less trouble imaging her tagging along anyway, even in the face of a bunch of opposition.Wayfarer wrote:I think the term "sniffing out" could legitimately throw people off.
