No... that's his first record label. It says "born October 23, 1959" in the first line.Vorticus wrote:The wiki says '79.Black Sparrow wrote:Um... wasn't he born in '59?Kat North wrote: Makes me feel old...probably because I guess I'd always thought Weird Al was a lot older than I suppose he really is.

Let's do the Time Warp again!!
I remember ...
TINY TOONS (WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED THIS?)
Nintendo Power magazine
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
Having a Brother computer that only did word processing.
Atari
Getting an NES from someone selling it with a large selection of games. And later on selling them to get money to buy a Sega Genesis instead.
When I looked forward to going to Target so I could play the Super Mario World display they had. It was the same thing with Super Mario 64 as well.
GOLDENEYE
Sonic the Hedgehog comic books, of which I still have in a box in my closet.
One Saturday Morning on ABC. I remember Recess, Sonic the Hedgehog, Reboot, Pepper Anne, Anna Annaconda or something. My sister and I always got up at 9am on Saturdays to watch it.
The Family Channel, with some weird blue guy as the mascot. It has the SMB Super Show., the SMB3/World show, Popeye, Captain N, probably the Smurfs or something.
Big Darkwing Duck, TMNT, & Ghostbusters fanboi
When there were only like 4 Nicktoons. I know Doug was one. I remember the debut of Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, and AAAAH Real Monsters.
Staying up late during summer vacation to watch Sifl & Olly on MTV (it's still probably my favorite TV show ever).
When I felt like a Big Boy when I got to the 3rd grade because that's when kids start getting A's through F's. Before that, it's E (excellent) VS (very satisfactory) S (satisfactory) and P (Poor).
Seeing The Matrix in the theater with my dad for the first time. I'd never heard of it and I thought it was just gonna be some random sci-fi movie. I left the theater surprised =]
Aww, now I'm getting all nostalgic while ignoring the things I should be working on in the present =/ Oh well.

I remember when there was only two channels on the television.
I remember the first non-government owned radio stations.
I remember the first McDonalds in town.
I remember seeing this cool new sci-fi movie called Star Wars.
I remember the Sex Pistols and the furore they caused among the cultural establishment.
I remember Apple ][.
I remember when Nokia made mostly other things than cell phones.
I remember the fall of the Iron Curtain. Shopping for Communist memorabilia at the Brandenburg Gate, watching people chip away at the remains of the Berlin Wall.
I remember the sinking of the Estonia.
I remember partying all night and going to class bright and early the following morning.

This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.
Oh noes! Read all about the tormented artist I am!

I remember dungarees and when the box haircut was trendy (mostly due to Will Smith).

I remember corporal punishment and surviving nursery school by skilfully dodging the cane through the ingenious tactic of good behaviour.
I remember when Michael Jackson was the coolest man on earth
I remember when the huge face obscuring sunglasses went out and sunglasses with small circle frames came in. (Or for that matter, when wearing sunglasses alone was enough indication that you were cool)
I remember the pinnacle of Hulkamania when Hulk Hogan beat Andre the Giant and won the Royal Rumble two years in a row. (And when WWF was awesome and no one had told me it was fake).

I remember the Smurfs!
I remember coming home from elementary school and having a snack that usually involved a drink like water mixed with blue food colouring and sugar (have no idea why I liked that so much) and watching something like the Raggedy Anne and Andy movie
I remember the Fall, going to the pumpkin festival.
I remember getting up for school, eating breakfast, driving to the bus stop, and waiting.

I remember hearing his "Smells like Nirvana" when I was arounf sixteen and at that time he would have been 17 or something.Black Sparrow wrote:No... that's his first record label. Then I realized how much they kept recycling the plots.
For a while, it was cool... they actually killed Robotnik (or Eggman, or whatever) and brought in a new set of villains.
But then they punked out and ressurected Robotnik. :/
Even after that, I kept reading for a while... but yeah, that's where I put their "jump the shark" point.

He was born in 1959. His first album was released in the late 1970's. Smells like Nirvana is on Off the deep end, which was released in 1994.mcDuffies wrote:That seemed might suspicious to me.
