Is it just me or has anyone else noticed it?

Post by Chaoticcomics »

For the past 3 days, since thursday, around 12 or 1am PST, the comicgenesis site goes down. Like now, 330am PST (I was up watching Adult Swim). I can't see any of the comics, or the main page or Gear. But I can still access siteadmin and the forum.

Is it maintenance time? Or something else?

I'm noticing it right now. Every third level domain CG comic I have bookmarked is not coming up.

0927 EST and still down, so if its normally server maintance then this time may be a problem. As usually though, give it a day and are overworked providers will have it up and running a gain.

Personally I just can't believe my bad luck, I just started to advertise the site last night.

Yeah, the best thing to do in these situations is just to wait... deep breaths now. It'll be okay *shelters worried types in ample bosom*

The comic sites seem to be working again. But I still can't log in to siteadmin or the FTP .
Bye.

Weird, the sites came back in the few seconds between the time when I checked them with IE and when I checked with Firefox, making me look like a fool, A FOOL!!! :shucks:

It's 4:30pm PST and while everything seems to be working, the gen-chan and Pogs and news archives aren't loading. Hmm, my guess is that something involving mysql went down and they're trying to fix it.

As long as people can still view comics, then I'm a happy camper.

Redwolf is aware of the problem, and is doing his best to fix it. Sit tight.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

File system overflow on the same area the DB is on, partly my fault. It's been cleaned up and MySQL should recover shortly.

Pogs and Gen-Chan are back. I guess its safe to say the crises has passed.
Now if only we had Kisai and StrRedWolf running FEMA, then we'd be a-ok!
