We better let them go or the ACLU will come after us for racial profiling.
Sad but true.

After all, severaty of reaction has something to do with it.
Otherwize, Dude, they're shooting! Get your ass out there and help the patrol shoot back.
where was that from? I remember seeing what I think was a die hard movie on TV (network tellevision with scenes cleaned up) and at the end he goes "Yippie-kay-yi-yay-falcon" though I didn't see it my brothers swear it was obviously dubbed over. is this what you refer to?SolidusRaccoon wrote:Yippie-Kay-Ay @&$*@(!*&
Well in Die Hard 2: Die Harder the one villain,General Esperanza, used the codename Falcon when communicating with his allies. So when it came time for the TV edit of the film they changed mother bleeper to Mr. Falcon. Since Esperanza was on the plane at the end. It was a clever edit, but still sounded stupid unless you understood the reference.Trump wrote:They replaced it with Falcon!? They could have at least tried to replace it with something with 4 syllables in total. Or better yet, do the no sound thing when the particular expletive came up.
Ah good ole Speedy, another victim of the PC police. And yes I remember Slowpoke. good times, good times. The JAM wrote:
And speaking of "La Cucaracha", anyone remember the Looney Toons short with Speedy Gonzales and his lethargic cousin Slowpoke Rodriguez, who kept singing that song extremely slow?
Take a wild guess why Slowpoke never sang the last line of the first verse.
Well, it would have given away WHY he was a slowpoke, if I'm remembering correctly. The JAM wrote:

Well, speaking of that...Calbeck wrote:Y'know, I'm surprised...I thought this arc would end with the group getting ready to watch the movie. The fact that we're actually getting to WATCH the movie along with the gang is a radical departure from the usual comic strip.
And what's more, so far this is pretty darned good! If the rest of the flick is anything like what I've seen so far, I'd prolly go see it in the theaters!

My kid brother's a telecommunications major at Santa Clara university. the guy wants to go into the movie business, etc. And I've got a few good conservative friends out here in santa cruz. if we got the resources together, I'm pretty sure this movie could be banged out.

well, yes, having a major production studio behind us would be handy for getting box-office acclaim. but there's still plenty of movie festivals etc that we could target. I am, of course, speaking hypothetically, of course. my contacts probably don't have the resources in place as yet to do a major motinn picture. Maybe in a few years.Sciguy wrote:Making a movie is easy.IronFox wrote:Well, speaking of that...Calbeck wrote:Y'know, I'm surprised...I thought this arc would end with the group getting ready to watch the movie. Making that movie good isn't.
Distribution is your boys in a vice.
One of the changes gradually appearing with the increase of broadband internet access is the growing ability to create and distribute short animations, or even movies. Eventually, Hollywood is going to have some competition.IronFox wrote:well, yes, having a major production studio behind us would be handy for getting box-office acclaim. but there's still plenty of movie festivals etc that we could target. Hell, they're probably going to have a lot of competition, since the distribution would be easier and cheaper than a trip to the theater.UncleMonty wrote:

Well they are working on 4th Generation Wireless Data now that looks like it will top out at 25Gb but look for connections between 10 and 15Gb. Yes that is Gb as in Gigabit through a cellular phone connection. With that speed and the wide area of coverage distribution will be pretty easy.IronFox wrote:Hell, they're probably going to have a lot of competition, since the distribution would be easier and cheaper than a trip to the theater.UncleMonty wrote:
