I'm missing out? You don't even get Tim Tams - and you should ask some of our English forum members about Jaffa Cakes some time.PieceOfSkunk wrote:Wow, then you're really missing out!Joel Fagin wrote:* I'm Australian, okay? We don't have cookies here.

If you were trying to make a point about our lame cookies, you probably shouldn't have unwittingly picked my favorite cookie of all time ever as an example.Joel Fagin wrote:I'm missing out? And there was, of course, a title song:Mooman wrote:The Mooman was a superhero I made up when I was about 14. He was basically a flying cow with a cape. I started using 'Mooman' as an online handle instead of my usual lot, which usually involved custard (Captain Custard, Custardman, etc etc etc).

Come, my fellow system lords, let us indulge ourselves in some Jaffa cakes! Surely they are quite fine, and made with 95% real Jaffa! 5% Tau'ri, but that just makes it even better, right?

Well, they are awfully good. I'm afraid I can only let them go for recipies of equal or greater value.Cookie wrote:Actually, I'd be totally up for that!
And... Uh... One of the best ones was taken off the side of a Cornflakes packet shortly after The Empire Strikes Back came out so it has a slightly odd name. ("Darth Vaders")

I'd still prefer "Bing Bang" over "Beanbag" (which is kinda how I first read itMooman wrote:although about a year ago I started to faze it out in favour of 'Binbag McGraw' who is a rebel cowboy, using the nick in all my online games (and frequently being called 'Bing Bang' by idiots who can't read).

Not to derail this fascinating conversation about Cookies, but I was thinking about maybe answering the original question.
Instead, I will just say that the origin of my online psuedonym is literary in nature. I use it for everything online nowadays. I've been meaning to give myself a last name to go wth it, so that I can use it for stuff that requires a full name where I don't really feel like giving my real name, but I am uninspired at the moment.
When I first came online I went by the name Goldfang, but I learned the hardway never to name myself after one of my characters. Later I went by a few others, but they were all rejected because by then everyone seemed to know my real name. It is a historical fact that when people try to give me nicknames, they fail. Anyone who knows or learns my real name inveribly calls me by it (or, more annoyingly, a shortened version of it).
One day I will snap and kill them all, I'm sure.
And now back to cookies: My mom used to make chocolate crinkles (which I call continent cookies) and I have never tasted a cookie half so delicious or entertaining. None shall ever stand up to their might.
