I've always liked the name Buster, and I have a morbid fascination with clowns. (can't stand the vile bastards in reality, but like the history and imagery that surrounds them)

I also go by Buster Maximus in many circles. I think I was drunk and watching Gladiator in a midnight screening at the movie theater I was working in at the time, and decided to go with Buster Maximus, which sounded subtly dirty, rather than Buster Hymen, which sounded openly dirty.

Turi is my name subjected to 16-futhark and back again. Also it has the advantage of being pronouncable by English-speaking persons. Don't try to pronounce "Tore" with an English accent. It sounds silly.

That would round off to 3,1415926536, as the next digit is an 8 :P

chigger - back in the day I was looking for a nick for AOL chatrooms, and a character from one of my Shadowrun books was named Chigger, which I liked, so I used chigger254 (chigger was used and I just slammed a few numbers randomly)

for about... 10-11 years now I've been using chigger254 as my regular internet name

Jeffy (aka Jeffy Weffy) - my name is Jeff, and I like it when girls call me Jeffy or Jeffy Weffy. 2 stories that are fun. One day, working on clearing out a highschool for work, we started playing with the PA, not realizing it was turned on outside. Some woman called 911 on us and the cops showed up. Earlier I had written on the wall in chalk "I like it when girls call me Jeffy Weffy". Having seen this and after hearing my name, the cops put down in the report that I was also known as Jeffy Weffy.

Story 2. A female type friend of mine dated once or twice this other guy named Jeff. She told me that once, over the phone, he had told her that she could call him Jeffy, to which she replied, "No, I already have a Jeffy" He was sad.

mcDuffies is the name of my first and longest running webcomic. When I registered for forums I entered the name of the comic where I should've entered nick.
Now I'm glad. mcDuffies is really catchy and there's little chance of misspelling. People often misspel when I use any of my real-life titles: Srdjan, Achim, etc...
Origins of "mcDuffies": It was an idea of one friend of mine, back when I was making up name for the fast food restaurant from the comic, he suggested I take mcDonalds and suplement one duck for the other.

It's four letters long, mostly consonants and contains a C and a Z, it's an acceptable anglification of the russian title Tsar, which is derived from Ceasar.

Of course, most of that has nothing to do with why I go by it. It was the codename of the russian heavy tank in the 1998 game Battlezone, which I had discovered at the time.
I took to it, and it's kind of stuck with me ever since.

I still like "Richard the Kittenheart", though.

Er...it's my surname (Bidencope) with the "Biden" part removed.

Yeah, if I knew I'd be using it this long I would've spent more than five minutes thinking on it.

Right. I usually call myself Robby.

Variation of Robbie
Which is short for Robert
Which is English for Roberto.
Which is my name.
And yes my friends call me Robby not Roberto.

I added Killbert to the front because I didn't know how it worked around here and I wanted ppl to know Killbert was MINE (as soon as I find someone to make the site)

Isn't Bob short for Robert? Robbie always makes me think of Robbie the Robot...

Hey, my name's Robert, too. I went by Bob ever since the first grade, when there were two Bobbys in the same class, and I got the short straw. Not that I'd be going by Bobby if I'd won out twenty years ago, mind you. Everyone knows that the only adults who go by Bobby are dead senators and gay quarterbacks. I don't like politics, and I'm too short and fat to be either a good quarterback or successfully gay.

At any rate, I got sick of the many many many variations of plays on the name Bob, including my all time favorite, "What about Bob?" If I had a penny for every time I've heard that, I wouldn't be doing seasonal migrant work!

Now, I go by Robert. Except for Roberto!, there's really nowhere else anyone takes that name.

I call my friend Bob either Bobbert, or the Ever-Illusive Bob.

One of my other friends goes by Rob.

"Teammayhem" was originally the name i used for a psuedo-production company i started with my friends. I couldn't think of any names, so i used that one, and it stuck.

Not much of a story, but i sometimes do go by SuperCheeseWeasel or Ryskar on video games.
You know, i should work on this.

I took the name of 'Remus Shepherd' in 1994, and have used it on the net ever since.

'Remus' refers to the legend of Remus and Romulus, who were raised by wolves. With which I metaphorically identify. (No, I was not raised by wolves in a literal sense. :) )

I can't talk about the 'Shepherd' part without talking about things I'm not allowed to talk about. :) Although I did want a name that sounded like it was a real name, and one good thing about Shepherd is that it's a common surname. Very useful when entering info on websites that require information. Half the net thinks 'Remus Shepherd' is a 99 year old retiree living in zip code 90210...

My nick comes from my fav animated show of all time, Sailor Moon. The Sailor Senshi, and the fact that I was being girly and found the word bishoujo, which i think means pretty. So, I just put pretty and senshi together, and there you go. 2k6 was supposed to be the year I graduated, but I graduated a year earlier. Oh well.

Plus, I made the nick as my online alias back in...2000, i think? So, yeah. Kinda stuck with it. I use it everywhere.
