with that kind of an attitude, the guy doesn't have a temper to lose!!!
I don't care what kind of treatment we try giving him, I'm sure Ralph has something even more sinister (or at least funny and effective) up his sleeve.

I still say the doctor did it....

I've worked in TV production a good deal in college and I do know that just about every single job on a set is a unionized job.
From the catering, down to the Best Boy (Which deals with lighting FYI. I dont' know how many times I've seen that asked by freshmen in some classes).
Also couldn't the guy that was originally cast be a member of SAG and have them go after the director for firing him?
Oh well it's up to RH really.

Eh, story time, I'll get the popcorn.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

might be one reason he's come out to malarky ... to get away from unions and rules that stop him acting like that?Namrepus221 wrote:I've worked in TV production a good deal in college and I do know that just about every single job on a set is a unionized job.

Hollywood politics that's the whole problem. They all think I'm from Hollywood so you should listen to my politics! To that I say you may play a smart person in the movies but brother you don't know shineola when it comes to real politics!
Sorry I got to say it again.

It has such a good ring to it.

Nip and SAG
Nip would almost have to be a card-carrying SAG member, since he's done pro "onscreen appearance" time (and probably has film "credits") as a stuntman and now is acting as the film's lead. Also, since Hollywood Fatso's already brought in a lawyer, you can pretty well bet that Nip's contract has all the "i's" dotted and "t's" correctly crossed. No, Nip's only real recourse has to be a solution that's.....
CREATIVE.

Ah, yes. Back to creative interpretation of the lines. How the part is played makes all the difference between serious and sarcasm.

Good Thinking...

Of course, Hollywood Fatso will use the line that's as old as Hollywood itself: "You'll never work in this town AGAIN!"
"....until they need you again..." (from Hooper - another tale about a meglomanical director and stuntmen.)

Hmm, how could he.....ooooooohhhh, heheeheh, I think I know what's gonna happen!
Nip's gonna start making script changes of his own. Fat Ass isn't going to be able to say anything without revealing what he's been trying to hide from the rest of the crew. Heh, secrecy's only effective so long as nobody who you can't either trust or control knows about it.

Which would bring the director's wrath down on Nip for violation of the non-disclosure clause in the contract. I'd say it's time to round up Charlie's cow, but the directors likely to try and eat it.Kerry Skydancer wrote:Or, Nip just has to nose it around that he doesn't like what the movie is saying, without any details at all... and have the locals boycott the production. I'm not entirely positive, but I don't think the non-disclosure clause includes other cast members. I've always thought it refered to "leaking" the story to the outside. Or if you got interviewed, giving away any of the plot or whatever.

We are NOT surrounded.....this is a "target rich" environment!
You assume everybody working on it will disagree with where the film is going. Lots of them probably do work for the director because they agree with his point of view so if Nip drops hints someone will probably report back to the director.Kerry Skydancer wrote:Or, Nip just has to nose it around that he doesn't like what the movie is saying, without any details at all... and have the locals boycott the production. I think he needs to do the opposite - go along big time and do an over the top performance - make it into a farce. From my experience liberals wouldn't even notice and think he is one of them ...

I think it's broader than that. I'm thinking of a situation where one of the cast will be replaced or their role changed substantially.
