Mebbe so....but don'cha just LOVE the expression on Quentyn's face in the last panel? Hilarious.....perfect "Bill The Cat" look. Well...at least the 'rents ain't upset with him......although it's gonna be real hard for our boy here to try and explain what happened w/o mama cracking up an' good ol' Pa tryin' t' keep a straight face.

Wonder if Squidge told them about Meribeth being in the audience?

From my own experience whenever I laugh at my kids when they do something stupid it has a much better (and longer lasting) impact than when I yell at them.

Very funny. I always thought the expression was "buck nakid" but that might be a bit too colourful language for rac conan if they hold the white stag as a religious symbol so "Butt" instead of "Buck" is like "Cripes" instead of "Christ" or "Hokey" instead of "Holy" to us.

And for those that don't know, there is a BIG differance between being NAKEDand being NEKKID.

Being naked means that you do not have any clothes on...

Being nekkid means you aint go no clothes on and you up to something!

Boy that strip is great. I love the way Pa has hide behind the newspaper and coughs to keep from cracking up. Mom cannot look at Quentyn and is doing well hiding behind her dish towl when Quentyn asks her not to cry but she she totally loses it with the Butt Nakkid Remark.

no but the questor was (when he was leading the guards (remember he didn't turn himself in because there was a female amidst them) on a merry chase and I think that's what he was referring to.)

you should try looking at this thing with our slow dial up connection where the picture S.L.O.W.L.Y. starts appearing from the top down and it makes you wait. the tension! the TENSION!!!

it reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes tenth anniversary book we've got where the author makes commentaries about the page or panels therein. on one page he quoted this "you die a thousand deaths before you even get into trouble" or in this case get laughed at.

my fearfull side was going all "oh no! they're gonna disown him and he's gonna be all depressed and turn his back on everyone and yadda yadda yadda!!!" it just wouldn't shut up!
