Expressions

Post by Maxgoof »

Okay, Merchant Gilder has it in for Quentyn. We knew that even before we saw his expression.

Master Rillcreek seems rather amused by the whole thing.

The elder on the far right doesn't look very pleased with Quentyn. Probably a close friend of Gilder's.

The adjudicator at the gavel stand seems concerned, but appears to want to hear Quentyn's side of things (typical of an adjudicator).

The others seem a bit surprised and curious, more than anything. I suspect they know how scripts tend to sensationalize things.

And where is the Captain of the Guard? He was there the last time.

Standing off to the side, near the end of the right-hand row. He's probably out of sight in all the panels, that's all.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

The captain of the guard was not an official member of the Elders. There are only seven Elders recognized in any village... he was there the first time in an unofficial capacity.

I'd bet the latter (if they trust him enough), but he could have come home early to have the next comic ready tomorrow. I don't really care either way so long as he's alright and I get the next comic.

 Can you feel the love, Ralph?

Re. "the most not fun in my life": I guess he's already forgotten his beating by the gang? :(

No parents first?

Post by CoolMouse »

I'm kind of surprised we didn't see him go to his parents first, considering how important I think it would have been to see him smooth things over with them since the news stories were pretty bad.

He probably got yanked over by the council the moment he arrived, so he didn't have time. Politicians always think their time is more important than other people's...
