(wears a big, silly grin that streaches ear to ear)....What?

Actually, on the subject of RP....I never really have. Looking at the things ya'll discribe....kinda wish I had. Well...there is still time.

S'aaruuk
Let's see, how do we want to blow Madmoonie's mind, let me count the ways - Edison Cylinder, 78 Lacquer (cactus and then steel needles), 78 Vinyl, 45 vinyl, 33 "LP" vinyl, wire recorder, 1/4" reel-to-reel tape, Compact Casette tape, Muntz-Jet 4-track tape, Lear Stereo-Pak 8-track tape, Micro-casette tape, 2" Videotape, 3/4" videotape, U-Matic, Betamax, VHS, VHC-C, CD, DVD, SACD, Blue-Ray DVD...

Those are just the ones that actually went anywhere, there are hundreds more that made it out of the design labs only to go "Poof!" in the marketplace. And I can scrape up examples of most of them.

This is why I'm never in that big of a rush to jump on "the next big format", they're like city buses - if you miss this one, there'll be another one along in 20 minutes.

Roy, that was beautiful. Have you decided on a new career as a Filksinger? I've RPG'd a bit, but not to that level - and yes, the "inventive" solution is always the most fun. :D

Oh - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C.W._McCall It all started with bread ads, and went out of control to several LP's and a movie...

Well, dang it... Now I'm going to have to dust my CW McCall albums off. I've got a line from the output of my stereo to my soundcard's line-input, and I know how to use it...

Maybe "Wolf Creek Pass" would be good to play in my Tracker's CD player while I'm 4WD'ing in the hills.

I've written a few bits, actually, and love to hit the circles when I can. I can't play anything, but I can sing fairly decent and do best when a capella (mainly because I start listening to my backup and get distracted). I'm perhaps best known for something I knocked together with Mitch Marmel parodying "Banned From Argo", which wound up of course as part of the Creaseys' songbook "Bastard Children of Argo". -:)

My fursona sometimes wears a rumper sticker reading "Incorrigible Filker --- Do Not Incorrige". -:D

Somehow in a melee I ended up in possession of a black diamond magical weapon of extreme power.....and absolutely NO IDEA how to use it... :-? When the obscenely powerful demon god that owned it made a lunge for it, I pulled the equivalent of the 'point the shotgun in the air, close eyes and pull trigger and hit most of the bad guys at 50yds." I shoved it out in front of me in both hands with my eyes closed, teeth gritted and head turned.

And promptly wasted the demon god to the tune of about 60,000 experience points. :o
Hah! That sounds uncannily familiar. A friend of mine once rolled four sixes... Out of 5d6. Thus managing to land a rather huge spacecraft, on uneven and unstable terrain, in the middle of an ion storm, perfectly. :D
They can't get inside you. If you can feel that staying human is worthwhile, even if it can't have any result whatsoever, you've beaten them. - Winston Smith, Nineteen Eighty-Four
