OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD--
Poor Quentyn just can't get a break. After all the struggles to get WC back and hardass and his henchmen turn up and net him.
Will be interesting to see how he gets out of it this time.

Ahhh, I knew it. He should have nabbed the sword and ran like heck. Ah well... can't expect the heroes to do the smart thing every time!

Albeit if you really think about it. This still is the capitol city, here we have a pitched battle between at least twenty odd individuals, the collapse of a largish structure, and "detonation" of a lux "bomb"
I'd say that it would be a considerable black mark against the Sanctuary guards if they hadn't taken notice.
They showed up awfully fast, though. Somehow, I don't think this is a reaction to current events per - se.

All in all, this is probably best for Quentyn. Young and as inexperienced as he is...he probably would not have been able to take them all. Since he is no longer pretending, maybe the guards will recognize his hair, and profession. Give him a small break. And maybe his sword back?

Yeah, alot of you were predicting something like what happened. I just wanted Quentyn to be able to go home.

Ooo just realised that they have a guardsman luftship hovering overhead. i guess they are obeying Rule #36: When the going gets tough, the tough call for close air support
Although it seems a bit fast for them to have brought along a full squad not to mention a luftship, unless it happened to be on patrol overhead.

Hey you have to remember that the Guards and town owe him one because of this http://npc.keenspace.com/d/20050325.html This is where they say "Thanks a lot kid" and let him go.

I doubt they'll be so forgiving. I have a feeling this is going to be a "we shall stun the world with our ingratitude" sort of situation. I mean, the only thing I can think of is that Quentyn somehow unmasks the toff behind all this and it turns out to be the judge or adjucator or something!
There is something to be said for competent silence.

Hmm, remember when the mysterious backer mentioned 'moving up the timetable'? Could Quentin's plan have run smack into this?BlasTech wrote:Ooo just realised that they have a guardsman luftship hovering overhead. i guess they are obeying Rule #36: When the going gets tough, the tough call for close air support

I think the real explanation is that Mulharney followed him somehow. He was watching Quentyn at a distance and waited for him to strike... then called down an entire squad on his hide to nail him.
And still I get the feeling that Mulharney won't get his man... as the judge may simply decide to show Quentyn mercy (again) and let him go, seeing as his actions helped bag several gang members...
...albeit he did cause a bit of property damage.
Aye, he's gonna be famous for sure.
But perhaps not in the way he'd like.

I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

I would put a bigger wager that if Mulharney is responsible for this raid, that he probably is already planning to find a way to pin some recent thefts on Quentyn (especially if anyone mentions the lux compacitor and Mulharney investigates what was probably used to make it).
