OT: Getting one's own avatar into trouble.

Post by Andrick »

Avatars, those funny little representations of ourselves with which we feel comfortable slipping into to deal with other people in this electronic medium, have a way of letting us get into situations that we would normally be to prudish (or sensible) to get anywhere near. Most of you should have stories that are humorous, informative, entertaining or that at the very least serve as a warning for the rest of us.

Fr'instance, Alfy, I wanna' know about those magic thighs of yours.

It stemmed from a Word Association thread that has gotten quite out of hand. Anyhoo, the topics had turned toward the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, specifically the philosophers Majikthise and Vroomfondel. Someone also mentioned schoolgirls and the principal's office, and I made a wonderfully disturbing little comment, which one nice person rendered in loving detail in that picture.

As for the thighs themselves...well, being a magical fox, all parts of my body are magic.

Aha, you might ask, so what sort of enchantment would happen were I to acquire some of your magic body? Like perhaps a lock of blue hair, or snipped tailfur, or clipped nails or spit or other bodily fluids?

The answer: I dunno. Just 'cause bits of me are magic and remain so after they're not connected to me, doesn't mean it'll have any particular effect on someone. For all I know it could partially levitate you, making you 3% lighter, or it could heal the wart on your thumb, or it could give you a headache...or it could just give you a tiny amount of magical energy, enough to make paperclips stick to your finger like a magnet.

I have no clue. I'm not like a unicorn, whose blood can sustain a demilich and whose urine can transform a Slime into a Jelly, nor a phoenix, whose tears can heal ills and whose down feathers can restore the dead. I'm just a magic fox.

Well, I got "called out" as it were, since I told Andrick there's a picture floating around of myself in a Sailor Scout uniform, dressed as Sailor Sol. This seems to be a space more for sharing the story than the picture, but I will get around to posting that at some point. For now, the "story".

Simply put, the picture was drawn because I requested it and thought it amusing. I was a big fan of Sailor Moon when I was younger, and still am somewhere in the depths of my being. Besides, the costumes are cute. So, given that I have an avatar of slim, and somewhat femmine proportions, I felt it would be funny to request this as joke. (Editor: Cross-dressing is one of the things my avatar can get away with that I wouldn't really try. I have a standing rule that I only wear clothes I think I'll look good in.) Especially since I could show a few more of my friends to spread the mirth. It might have been an art trade, but I don't recall what I sent back.

That, in essence is the story. Sorry it's not more wacky. =^^;=

I bet they're magically delicious. *pulls out a fork and steak knife* This might sting a little.

Glad to be of service.

I gots me a story regarding this picture. Y'see, the U! forum just made its second move and was coming online when the usual forum antics were going about. Now, I had already made myself a scourge of that board with slapstick antics and scathing wit (at least, I'd like to think so). Many of the denizens there freely participated in the, often rough, reindeer games of forum role-play and the new board was getting a christening more akin to a trial by fire.

This particular forum had more control by the U! creators and they excercised it early on. So as we were rapidly popping up. claiming our digital tags and making ourselves at home, the resident admins started suffering a mischeivious streak and started assigning us to groups of their making. It seems that my choice of avatar pictures made me a particular target which lead the conversation in a certain direction as can be seen here. Now I contend that the avatar pic was innocent enough. You can see for yourself since I will show it in its entirety here:
Image

However, this was enough for the Admins that be to jokingly assign me to a very colorful group: the Rainbow Brites, resplendent with a rainbow graphic over my avatar pic (much like the banana is now) and a ROYGBIV pattern for my ranking. Needless to say that the grouping and the ensuing conversation was too much for one artist's muse to let go. The uncolored pic showed up mere days later. I soon made a habit of tickling Foxy Fennec's muse until it was out of breath and begging me to stop as the gallery doth shows. I was so flattered by her gift art that I colored it myself.

I think it looks fetching. ^^

What? :o Oh! Yeah, right, I forgot about those... Image Um... That's a massager. Image

Foxy Fennec made the original picture and I forgot what had prompted it... something having to do with a refrigerator. Like I said, innocent stuff. Crash, her beau and a perenial favorite chew-toy of mine for forum banter, did the "new product feature" touch up for the second picture. You can find more of her whimsy here, though it never really comes as close to what her private stash may be like (I'm speculating).

Here's another one with Andrick...

But I guess I should be posting something about my own character, shouldn't I? Well, back in the days of the Umlaut House D&D game (to think I used to have time for that, as well as for writing those silly recaps *sigh*), Salgrus wound up in compromising situations on a rather regular basis. Like the time Jarylan's character Bart gave him a couple of condoms as a joke and he thought it was a snack. Or the time he unwittingly took a prostitute back up to his hotel room.

Poor Salgy.

When I was on FurryMUCK as Volair I had a habit of turning myself into a herm and chasing people around threatening to make out with them. And that one time when they were doing construction in the park I dragged off one of the engineers for purposes too horrible to contemplate.

Oh, and I ate a bag of M&M's out of Alfador's cleavage.

*the ringwolf blinks at the kitsune, looks done at the none-too-cleverly gift-wrapped cockring with Alfador's name on it, and tosses it away with a disgruntled look* Y'know, there are some people it is just impossible to shop for and you're one of 'em, Alfy.

Yeah, but would it fit? Making those things outta' elastic would defeat the point. I'll just get him a pet rock and be done with it.
