Superman Returns Teaser

Post by SolidusRaccoon »

Superman Returns

Yes that's Marlon Brando, still acting in movies, I guess dead isn't what it used to be. Brando Returns

Good to hear the Williams score, I just hope they keep it. There is NO way that can be topped, it's pure classic.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Veeeery interseting. He's no Christopher Reeve, but this could be pretty good. :)

Nice. I especially loved the part where Jor-El tells his son his fate as humanity's beacon of light. To serve as an inspiration to humans, that they might seek out good and do it.

Unfortunately, history teaches us there will always be those who are jealous and try to tear down the greater ones among us. :P That's probably where ol' Lex Luthor steps in...
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

He plays him? I like the guy who plays him in Smallville.

I liked the first Superman film, but thought it suffered from the inability to decide if it was going to treat the subject seriously or go with comic book humor. I mean, Superman crying over the death of Lois was terrific. But Lex Luthor was a joke.

I had hoped they would resolve the problem with the second film. Nope. They only made it worse. General Zod was utterly unbelieveable. You really felt like he was pure evil in the first film. In the second...he was a joke.

I didn't bother to watch the third or fourth.

Hopefully, if this teaser is any indication, and the success of Smallville is any indication, they will take this seriously.

Sorry to disappoint you, Max, but his film takes place in the same "universe" as the 1st two Superman movies. (3 & 4 are skipped.)

P.S. Since I don't watch Smallville, can someone tell me if Lana has throat cancer yet? You can't wear kryptonite that long without feeling it's effects. Just look at Luthor.

Depends on the universe.. Smallville Kryptonite seems to give superpowers, not cancer..

Yeah, but if you read the craptastic "Birthright" they now have the comic Lex in Smallville.

Did I miss something or am I remembering the comics wrong. I thought Superman was sent to earth because his planet was blowing up.

He was sent away from Krypton because the planet was blowing up. He was sent to Earth because Jor-El programmed the rocket that way. ;)

But I think the issue at hand (or paw) is "How did Superman talk to his dad? Isn't his dad, well, DEAD?!?!?!?!"

But then, I have been know to be wrong.
