Drip Drop

Post by SolidusRaccoon »

Hmmm, things are getting very interesting.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

“You go whistling in the dark/ Making light of it/ Making light of it/ And I follow with my heart/ Laughing all the way// Oh 'cause you move me/ You get me dancing and you make me sing/ You move me/ Now I'm taking delight/ In every little thing/ How you move me”

(sigh) I liked that song. Are they really gonna notice a falling raindrop? They guys were soaked when they came in, not to mention the roof of the building is probably not 100% waterproof. Man, I wanted him to be someone Quentyn recognized! That makes it all the more devious. Of course, the second option is that this guy someone famous, like some fine, upstanding moral and respected leader of the community, or somehting like that.

Kinda reminds me of Spiderman.

Maybe Quentyn's rotten luck will have the drop fall on someone's nose, which of course will perplex them enough to look up. Of course, if we wanted things to get really interesting, the whole roof would cave in beneath him.

[...unWARP!]

Good evening.

Geez, we all saw that one coming a mile away...

Next time, on "Tales of the Questor", another of Quentyn's stupid moments!

My Guess is that you would have a hard time putting it there because everything but the actors were computer generated.
Maybe if you asked Totenkoff he would know what to do.

Anybody else not get the "spare" comment? Is this another slang term I haven't kept up with?

But don't get me started on "go/come with", or "rents" (parents) :x

3 movies come to mind, one I was in...Tora, Tora, Tora.(this one).....1941.......Adventures of the Sky Captain.

All three had P-40's in them.

He means "careful" or "Cautious" with the word spare being used in that manner. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense. Quentyn was wondering at first why the buyer wasn't being cautious about the sword. He then saw that the buyer was indeed being cautious but for some reason he wasn't telling the Royals of the immediate threat that sword poses to them (like that it could be sensed even through all the warding). To me, I think he half knows someone is right there, which makes it all the worse should that drip land on the buyer.

Go spare means go nuts absolutely nuts, bonkers, wacko, insane with fury. I think it is more of an English term. Quentyn is wondering why the buyer did not become furious at the Royals for not proparly sealing WC, ie "leaving open the barn door."
