They said they were running it at night to avoid children, right? So it's targeted at adults... or at people who would have watched smurfs when they were a kid. For most kids, the cartoons they used to watch they enjoyed (or they wouldn't watch them).

So, they're trying to inspire those who are of voting age (young adult and beyond) to act against the use of child soldiers by saying:

War ruins childhood. Here's a bit of your happy, insulated childhood. It just got ruined by war. Oh, that's not pretty. That's disturbing. That's happening to kids. Help stop it.

On communism: "Communism is an economic system," "Communism is a political system." It can be both, and it can be one without being the other. However, when trying to implement it economically, who gets to control the market? Since "Democracy (i.e. voting)" seems "not communist," the people deciding the market's course (logical since communism is allegedly the "people's" government), is shunned, and a few or one person is put in charge of "communist" economy and the system breaks down, because in the global economy, economic power is almost always equivalent to political power, and then you've got an oligarchy or dictatorship in control of the economy and thus the country, so you're not even communist anymore.

Try to implement communism politically, and form a classless society where everyone's equal, you reach in inherent contradiction: Who's going to lead the country? As mentioned above, voting is asosciated with democray, which is hypocritically "not compatible" with communistic ideals, so again an oligarchy or dictatorship is formed, and you're not communist[/] any more. Furthermore, if communism is the political model but NOT the economic model, greed will manifest in the country's economics, leading to the re-emergence of classes, though they'll be primarily economic in nature.

Because of this link, it's difficult to be communist politically or economically and something else in the other. Do the "people" that the "communist" cause champions control china's "communist" government? No. Did they control Stalinist/Soviet russia? No.

Human nature's greed is in direct conflict with communist economics, and human nature's drive for self-preservation (through wealth and power, rising above others, becoming the "fittest" that will survive), conflicts with its political aspects. Thus, for a communist society to "work" on any scale, all its members must be willing. Therefore, imposing communist economics or politics on any country will not work, because not everyone will be willing to go with the system, and everyone must be for it to work.

Thus we see communism of sorts working in (nuclear) families, since their familial bonds lead them to set aside greed and ambition for the good of the family (since the familiy is usually all in the same lot).

And it can work in communes formed by willing members, of any size. But introduce people who didn't choose to be communist and human nature's greed will destroy the system.

Since babies don't learn political philosophy in the womb and all choose communism before birth, then, communism would not work for more than a generation at a national level, though it has yet to really work at all on a national level.

Perhaps a democratic republic with communist economics would work.
(But a communist political structure would not work with a market economy, as the social structure would stress equality, while the economic structure would favor individual enrichment and a social heirarchy of wealth)

Summary: Because of its unique nature that runs contrary to human nature, communism will only work if all participants are willing. Therefore, it cannot be imposed on a national level with any hope of success.

I'm not sure it's safe to raise this on a forum dominated by people from the Americas, but isn't Cuba still communist, and isn't it working?

I just like to know, and you lot can probably tell me.
"OH, I'VE SEEN THE INFINITE, IT'S NOTHING SPECIAL."
"Don't be daft! you can't see the infinite, it's... infinite!"
"I HAVE."
"Ok then, what did it look like?"
"IT'S BLUE."
"It's black."
"IT'S BLUE."
"It's black!"
"FROM THE OUTSIDE IT'S BLUE..."
