Best time to work on the comic ?

Post by Saiko_shounen »

Welp with Rita going nutz outside and my folks only running the generator a few hours a day what better thing to do than draw. I'll admit though- candle light sucks for drawing - especially if your trying to do so lightly XD And now my room smells like fish - darn airiator...
All for the creative process.
When is the best time to draw for you guys?

Yeah , I like working at night with the radio or the computer playin' . But computers and radios can be distracting sometimes too... Thats why there's nothing better than a black out or Hurricane XD.

When you have more important things to be doing.

Late at night is great - when you have to be up early the next morning.

Sadly enough, at my convention table. I finished penciling 3 pages in a weekend. For me, that's a record. There was just that much traffic.

Sadly it seems it's always easier to get a comic done in record time when your supposed to be doing something else... school work for example XD I got more stuff done when I was in school! ( not actual work of course - that would be silly)

There is no best time.
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.

Yeah, I can attest to that.
In-between classes is a good time for me, though.

I'd say between classes. By then, I'm awake enough to draw, and I have free time to draw something.

I've noticed that I can whip out good drawings when I'm supposed to be donig something else. I dunno why, but that's how it is with me.

When to Draw

Post by Fading Aura »

To be honest, I can put pencil to paper at anytime. It's just having the motivation to do so. Much like Kevin Pease, I find that I'm most productive and creative at night. :D
Here we stand, here we fall; history don't care at all. Make the bed, light the light; Lady Mercy won't be home tonight.

For me it's not so much a question of when as where.
I can't do any work in my room, with the exception of writing and (every so often) work on my Pimpette website.
I do my best work in the kitchen, where I have no internet and no distractions, and in the computer commons at school, where I have internet but no MSN (damn msn-blockers), and very rarely is there anyone I know around to pester me - they're all doing work too.
For comics, it's the same - although if I draw in the commons I've usually got one or two people looking over my shoulder. It's a trifle disconcerting, but I just put headphones on and try to ignore them.
