Why, why did I miss this yesterday? Cookie, I love it! Why do you call it mediocre when it is obviously excellent?

Just a quick note.

Cookie, you are awesome.

Like that Spiderbait song, but without the 'F' word.

Thanks Vort! KeyMonkey! :D

And now, something I've been thinking of doing for a while. You didn't ask for it, but you're getting it anyway: CD coverart!

Didn't have much time to put lots of effort into it, but simplity will have to do now. I have three other designs in mind. Seeing as there are about 80 songs or so now, and SOME people are crazy enough as to download most (all?) of them... Anyway. I didn't include backside of the cd, nor tracklist, cause I want you to be able to choose yourself which songs to have on the cd.

Here's what it looks like in color:

Image

Or, if you like it better in B&W:

Image

Now these pics above aren't good for printing, so I uploaded the images as 600dpi TIFF pictures to my server. They may take a while to download.

So, here are the .tif images:
Color version
B&W version

I'll record new songs in the weekend, if not earlier.

Thank you for the cover art cookie. Also, bump. This thread should not be on page two.

<3 *feels loved* ^_________^

I promised new requested songs over the weekend. In the meanwhile, here's some more unrequested music:

First off... a KEENSPACE CHAT SPECIAL!

Keenspace Chat - What can I say. This song wanted to be made.

Bridges (Tracy Chapman) - Yes, I might've mentioned before that I like her music very much...

Losing Hope (Jack Johnson) - I love Jack Johnson. Most of his songs don't really fit my voice cause they become either too low or too high pitched... his guitarplaying also owns me a 1000 times. :P Anyway, this one turned out ok I think, a little different from my other stuff.

Positively 4th Street (Bob Dylan) - More Dylaness! :D

Foolish Games (Jewel) - Always liked this song, but I didn't fully like the way Jewel sang it. So I tried to make it a little different.

Double posting sucks, but since no one commented... *fails at forum*

For Corgan: In My Life (I think it turned out okay... but Beatles songs somehow don't bring out the best in my voice, I'm afraid. And.. I'm getting sooo many Beatles requests. ;_; )

For M2: Take My Breath Away - For some reason, not so easy to sing.. for me at least.

List update:

-> "Psycho Killer" - Talking Heads (for Claude)
(-> "I Don't Know How To Love Him" - Sarah Brightman(for M2))
-> "3 Libras" - A Perfect Circle (for CorpseFiend)
-> "Top Of The World" - The Carpenters (for KeyMonkey, err, his sister)
-> "I Shot The Sheriff" - Eric Clapton (for Rock Dash)

Levi: I can't do "Cheek to Cheek". I tried and tried, and the singing is not a problem, but this song just doesn't WORK with one guitar alone. :(

M2: I may still try to record "I don't know how to love him", haven't tried yet, but... I may do it, even though I did the other one too. :)

I was going to do all the songs tonight, but my voice won't cooperate. It's as if a cold is on its way to get me... again... So I was already quite breathless (/voiceless) after only two songs and decided not to sing anything more cause it wouldn't have been any good.. at all.

I hope my voice is back tomorrow, otherwise it'll take some more days til I have time for this.

I heard a song the other day that I keep thinking would be awesome for you. Just it screams "Cookie sing me!"

"Crimal" by Fiona Apple.

Also I would like to hear your rendition of "Wonderful Now" by Everclear if possible.

I know songs :P If you ever need help with entertainment questions on Who Wants to be a Millionaire....I'm your lifeline gal ;)

Yeah, this thread is dying down; I think there are enough Cookie records for now. Well, there's these new ones:

For M2: I Don't Know How To Love Him

For KeyMonkey's sister: Top Of The World

Some more I recorded for my own pleasure:
For My Lover (Tracy Chapman)
Most Of The Time (Bob Dylan)
Mountains O' Things (Tracy Chapman)

There's another couple records I have to make. Some from the list weren't possible for me to do. I'll post the rest in a few days or so, and then I'll close the thread for requests... It's been fun, and it'll probably be back sometime, but I actually want to work on some better records - so, those will take me more time. There's gonna be something special in this thread at some point...

I'll need all your help sometime soon. I'll rename the thread when that time has come.

I think after all the musical goodness you've given us, you have more than earned our help.
