Loony friends are the best kind.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.
The only point I have on digitigrade legs is the fact that some medical professional modeled the proper way to walk for patients with cerebral palsy (sp?) off of felines. Strangely, it works, but I'm not sure how much it helps to throw off balance, since most people with cerebral palsy (at least among those I know) already have poor balance from the cerebral palsy to begin with. As for the stress on the joints, that is a big "Oh, hell, yes!" Again, it is probably more due to the constant tension running throughout the legs, but having to walk on the tip toes and having to try to walk with tight knees and looser hips probably doesn't help.RHJunior wrote: Digitigrade legs: Rarely do I see this done well. (Digitigrade means "crooked doggy legs," btw.) They rarely take into account issues like center of balance or strain on joints.
