Well, the accepted method is to hope for the fellow holding that gun to be distracted momentarily (you ready, Cotton?) and then to grab the barrel (good leverage on that one, what with that silencer) in a sweeping upward move, twisting the gun-holder's fingers in uncomfortable ways...
Or you could do something else less likely to get you perforated.

I saw a black and white clip on how to disarm a person with a gun, but I never tried it. Hopefully, I will never do it.
[This message has been edited by Sunblaze Wildfire (edited 02-02-2001).]

I doubt that Cotton would do anything quite
so unthinking as to get himself shot...

His showing up now - this very moment - worries me just a little, though. Just cover for Thade and Drent's escape? Worse? I doubt all too very much happens (in Gene Catlow, anyhow?) without a reason. If he turns out to have some sort of psi abilities I shouldn't be too surprised; I would be very surprised if this storyline resolves his fate once and for all. (Just juggling thoughts, here, not asking questions... I do seem to have a penchant for thinking aloud. Cleo would have attested to that. And a morbid streak to my character, as well, though I'm by no stretch depressed...) Life's all about surprise sometimes, though... (perhaps that's only a sign of how poorly I predict it? )
-Eric Schissel. Hrm, takes work to be a-musing without being amusing. And off thought ways trots one horse. Enter, spring... please

Wow! This has been quite the cliffhanger. I can't wait until tomorrow when we'll see how Cotton tries to deal with our #1 conspirator in the human race! I further say on his behalf: Do your worst!

Interesting pointer, Digo. Funny how you'd be so interested in this human dude and his plot in Gene's comic.
-He could be some greedy, golddigging crook over the secret for Coffee^2. (He'd better forget about Col. Sanders' secret recipe of eleven herbs and spices for breading Kentucky Fried Chicken. Then there's how they get caramel inside Caramilk bars.)
-On the other hand, he could be another miserable soul working too hard (even if it means crime) to this certain goal regarding Coffee^2 or otherwise.
We shall see in terms of any happy ending, depending how Gene's had it made worth of how challenging this story of the comic is going. No taking the fun out of it!
But how will Cotton deal with this heavy-duty hunk of human dude? The answer: Tomorrow morning at the earliest, BE THERE! Or...be *squared*, gulping down a cup full of Coffee^2!

Yeah, too much of even a good thing is just a bad thing. Life would not be complete without good versus bad.
Just goes to show in "Yellow Submarine" how especially Ringo got what he asked for as he said, "Nothing ever happens to me...", and the Fab-4 saved Pepperland when those Blue Meanies tried to do their worst.
Even Mr. Brian Jacques is SOOO talented with his Redwall stories, how even villainous vermin were nasty in the medieval era against charming animals.
I can go on forever with these significant pointers of how good fought for freedom against evil's hostile clutches. We just need these kinds of challenges to keep our heads up or we don't know what we're missing.

We just need these kinds of challenges to keep our heads up or we don't know what we're missing.

Ah, but sometimes there are the cases where the good guys aren't so wonderful, and the bad guys ain't that evil. Take Slayers TRY for example. The Golden Dragon race was thought to be the (for lack of better term) "best" among all the dragon clans. They were considered to be the closest to the god Cephied, and the kindest of the clans. What most people didn't know, however, was that the Golden Dragons were guilty of Genocide. During the War of the Demon's Fall, they anihillated the entire Ancient Dragon race, a clan of infinate wisdom, who refused to participate in the war between the Dragon Race and the Demon Race (Ryuzoku and Mazoku respectively).
On the other hand, not all of the Mazoku were all that evil. Xelloss, although guilty of basically terrifying Gene, is a good example. Despite being a Mazoku, he had friends who were among those killed by the Golden Dragons, who slaughtered even eggs and hatchlings. In response, when he was given the task of attacking the Golds, he accepted. However, he was more merciful than the golds, sparing the yearlings, hatchlings, and the eggs, which is why there are still Golden Dragons during the time period of Slayers NEXT and Slayers TRY.
((And that made absolutely no sense, did it? My fault, medication screws with my reasoning skills))

Wow. Of course not all humans are evil. But sadly, Furriston does not know that. The effects of this incident will still be evident in "Wolfzilla". (See Newshounds board)
