Pogs and Chans (how to get on the front page) UPDATE!
EDIT by STrRedWolf: Please upload your pogs and chans via the new CG Siteadmin system. And now to your regularly scheduled post.
I just finished the HTML for the Comic Genesis site and posted it off. As part of that, I also whipped up some templates and instructions for making pogs and genchan pictures. You can find them here...
http://www.between-worlds.com/!junk/GenchanTemplate.zip
http://www.between-worlds.com/!junk/PogTemplate.zip
It's just so you can get started if you want to (and so Kisai can have some samples to play with if she desires it). See Kelly's post below for delivery details.
Any feedback on the templates or instructions is greatly appreciated. They'll have to go into the Gear at some point, after all. The pogs, in particular, need to be as easy and straightforward to do as possible (and right now they're more complex to make than the Genchans).
Edit: I just uploaded a zip with the index page of the site in it so you can see your graphics as they'll appear (especially the Genchans since they're very much a part of the site). Just replace the sample_pog.png and sample_genchan.jpg images with your own.

<strike>Right now, you can post them here OR email me via "tygris" at comicgenesis (dot) com with the subject line I GOTTA POG or OH GENCHAN! BABY! or anything with "pog" or "genchan" in it.
PLEASE GIVE YOUR COMIC USERNAME WHEN YOU DO, AS WELL AS ATTACH YOUR POG'S AND GENCHAN'S! DON'T GIVE YOUR URL'S, BECAUSE I CAN'T HOOK THEM TO THE SYSTEM IF YOU DO!</strike>
Okay folks, please post them via CG Siteadmin.

This works well only for chibi. When I try to keep normal proportions, I have empty space on the sides... Will it be ok if those who want to draw her realistic+standing leave a bit empty space on the left?Joel's instructions wrote:It's best if she takes up as much of the room that she has as possible. A very small or very thin picture will leave empty space and might look a bit off.

Boy, it's a challenge summing up the look of your comic with just a 60x60 image.

Hum. I didn't think of that. I suspect it would still look fine but I'd have to see one to know for sure. At any rate, you can always have her - oh, I dunno - holding a staff or a weapon or something. Weapons seemed to be popular last time. Or change the pose. I mean, this Buffy picture I used as an example is wider than she should be because she's kinda leaning, has a prop and has her jacket open.Nutcracker wrote:This works well only for chibi.
