*giggles* so fun to get to see Jake being the calm one, and someone else's brain exploding.

Jake has finally... well, I won't say "gotten used to"... it's more of a "become numb to" the weirdness. I don't think Rhonda could ever compare to the "loopy factor" which permeates all contact with Volair.

The fact that he addressed her by name should be your first clue as to why this doesn't surprize him in the least.

Because Jake and Rick already decided on names for their children. Jake saw a weird spatial anomaly, from which stepped a femme squirrel-ly critter, and she did announce she was the fruit of his loins or summatch' twenty years down the road.

I just figured the logical part of Jake's brains went to work whilst the sensible part of his brain was still asleep.

i figgured it was because from Ronda's point of view this is her first time travel event, but she traveled to a time after the Green storyline so Jake has already seen her.

so the steam of events would be something like this:

from jakes point of view
Ronda goes back in time for the first time in Green, Jake sees her for the first time.

a younger Ronda goes back in time for the second time in todays strip.

Ronda is born and grows up.

from Rondas point of view
Ronda is born and grows up.

Ronda goes back in time for the first time in todays strip.

Ronda goes back in time for the second time in Green (hasnt happend yet according to her)

Quite right. I'm going to spend the rest of the month worth of comics explaining this, but fortunately temporal mechanics will take a back seat for a while after that.

And I finally get to comment on this (having been more-or-less without internet for a week).

I think she should recover quickly...seeing as how she knew she was getting into time travel...and you should just EXPECT all sorts of surprises when that happens. Heck, she was TRYING to get Jake with that. ;)

Yeah... but having the rug of "Smug Superiority" yanked out from under you is still unsettling.
