Ohhhhhhhh nasty

Post by SolidusRaccoon »

Now the fur is going to fly.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

More'n likely. However I think Lily needs to be very careful at this point...she's PO'd and afraid that Penny's going to be like Petunia...but being too heavy handed and laying too many restrictions, rules and her own sense of morality on Penny at this time could drive her right out the door. And I don't think there's a whole lot she or Ben could legally do to stop her......she's only there visiting and I don't think any papers have been signed declaring Ben and Lily her legal guardians.

Maybe I'm just dense but I don't get the reference. :-?
I think it's a really nasty referance about abstinance.

Penny is lucky she doesn't have two cubs clinging to her ankles,
one cub in her arms crying, and her belly bulging with a fourth.
Lily was making sure that didn't happen.

BTW... I was remembering a pic of a mouse drawn by R. E. Dye
AKA HoneyBadger, and used it as a referance.

And here I thought "It looked like condors feeding their young"
was a good line....

BTW RHJunior... Was what Penny had said, in a way,
WAS an attack on abstinance until marriage?

It was a -great- line, Ralph. I'm filing it to use the next time I have to break up a pair of students. I swear, they must think they're invisible.

I think it wasn't just an attack on abstinence, but a lead-in to some kind of revelation about the posse. After Penny's big reaction to the "invisible bunny" remark, I think she might be thinking Lily's got kids she's hiding.

no.
It's a sarcastic remark about excessive prudery....
Invented by my roommates at a Christian college. one with somewhat uptight rules about public displays of affection--- (no kissing, no holding hands except on scheduled outings, etc.... ye gods) And of course, with such rules come students who are so "holier than thou" they polish their bibles with bootblack....

Seems they had a friend who was engaged to be married. He went to try and kiss his fiancee in public---
she broke off the engagement over that.

The general consensus was "close call, dude."
one of my roommates made the comment she was one of those girls who didn't believe in physical contact till after the third child....

Sounds JUST like an episode of M*A*S*H* when the guys got ahold of Frank Burns' wedding movies. The bride was, of course, a really sour looking hatchet face and Hawkeye said something like, "Ah yes, the lovely bride, Miss Cynthia Soon-To-Be-Frigid."

*falls down, laughing his tail of what was said*

BWAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I love it when Frank Burns gets zinged by Hawkeye
and Trapper!  I miss those comedies,
especially when I don't have cable. Pure gold.

I thought both comments were pretty sharp, the condor one and the "no contact". They sure out-do my calling my brother-in-law Russ's new baby boy a "Russel sprout".

I'm guessing the "no contact" one was a rewrite of the old "No kissing until the third date." or something?

Another line that might fit could be: "I don't want to send you back to Mom pregnant."

Warning: this may constitute a thread hijacking. :P

Thought on that scenario - it would obviously depend on what the couple had decided on before... (and obviously not knowing any of the people involved there are other things I don't know about this situation). Seems to me that at some point prior to that, they ought to have discussed what is comfortable for them... and if she had previously told him she was uncomfortable with kissing in public, then he should have had the respect for her to not try to force it. It should have been discussed and boundaries agreed on by both. (I'm just thinking of this from my point of view, cause if my boyfriend tried to "make" me kiss him in public, he would be showing pretty blatant disrespect for me as a person... and if there was a history of stuff like that, I wouldn't blame this girl for breaking up with the guy.)

On the other hand, if he totally didn't know that his girlfriend didn't like that, they really didn't know each other well anyway, and breaking it off was definitely for the best.

On the other, other hand... like I said, there could be a ton of other stuff in here that I don't have a clue about, like she could have told him yes and then changed her mind or something...*shrugs* Or she could have been really flaky enough to say "you blew it once, goodbye."

[Side rant, completely off-topic: Waaay too many people nowadays are getting hooked up without any idea what the other really thinks about anything deeper than favorite foods... and they wonder why marriages don't last.... *sigh*]

At my old school we had two types, The Prudes, and the "Happy." I was more annoyed with the latter group. Th ehappy couple walks back to the ladies dorm, they talk a bit outside the entryway, they kiss, they kiss some more... Etc Etc...

Some people finally got a couch and some popcorn and sat out there "Watching the show." Oddly, the couples started to hang around there less...

The clever students also got in trouble with the deans, but the price was well worth it.

And, we all know how quickly interest accumulates--especially compounded interest.
