I work in the campus mailroom of my college and it has received a few flyers advertising an upcoming "Photoshop Conference". The creators of Photoshop, along with experts and masters of the program are running this conference. Its a full day conference that will have several panels, demonstrations, and programs that showcase various tips, tricks, knick knacks, and the true power of Photoshop.
I do my comic Niece Web (nieceweb.comicgen.com) with Photoshop, and this conference sounds so enticing. But the cost to enter the conference is $200 ($189 if I go with a group of 4 people). The price tag is pretty hefty, so I'm having doubts about if its worth it or not.
I think I'll just dish out the money, but first I want to ask you guys if you have heard of this conference or attended it. If so, how was it and did you get anything valuable out of it. Do you think it will be a rip off?
Adobe Photoshop conference coming up....should I go?

I've never been to a conference, but whenever I can I shell out money for the magazines and I usually find SOMETHING that makes it worth the money there. I think that if it were in my area and I had the money to spend, I'd go. You're bound to learn something useful.

I got to my fair share of computer confrences, and have found that if you're willing to a) wait until closer to the confrence, or b) look for non-profit rates (and a college should qualify) you can usually attend for a lot less, maybe even for free.
The downside? Expect vendors to bug you for months afterward.
