the moral of the story is, "street-dates mean nothing if you work in the right place, but it won't mean anything for getting people to read your crappy comic"

(if i weren't so chicken, maybe, but alas, i am covered in feathers most of the time) **lame joke warning!** (neville was practicing jinxes near me)

You just need to trick someone else into opening it.

If you ask me, I'll tell you this. Puberty = BOOBS.

All Clues in Order of the Phoenix point to R.A.B being Regallus Black, and the locket in question being the one they chucked away while cleaning up 12 Grimmauld place (the one that everyone present was "unable to open"). Unfortunately Kreacher or Mundungus have probably made off with it by now. However I remain convinced that these are elaborate red herrings.

Also I like how Snape is a double double double double agent, either pretending to work for Morty but really working for Dumbly or pretending to work for Dumbly but really working for Morty, or just a guy who got who got himself tangled up in a couple of promises but in the end looking out for himself and in the process hoodwinking the two greatest wizards who ever lived that he's their pawn and is really out to be the next Dark lord all together.
Kid's book ethics advise pointedly at the former, but she may decide to kick us all up the backsides and give us something all together unexpected.

As for all the snogging.. well they may be wizards but they

Snape continues to be my favorite character. I believe he's going to be a hero when it's all said and done.

I'll be very surprised if it turns out he's actually through and through evil.

I can't believe it took me this long to realize Albus/Severus.

That's why he was so sure! That's why he was all "Severus, I beg you!" type stuff on the tower! That's why he couldn't tell Harry why he trusted Snape!

Obviously couldn't tell anyone else either, scandalous! The headmaster and the potions master?

Of course Snape couldn't survive the year without something godawful happening because... well... it's not like the DDA teacher could be allowed to come back the year following.

Also, if Snape was faking he'd have dropped dead. Unbreakable oath, you know.
I forget (and am too lazy to find where the book is), but . . . did the oath have, like, a time limit or anything? He might have had a year or two before he actually had to do the deed.

I have no recollection of this, and I doubt such a powerful oath would have such an obvious loophole.

He swore he would protect Malfoy and, if necessary, perfrom Malfoy's task himself if for any reason Malfoy was incapacitaed or unable to go on with it. The task or a time window was never specified (as a matter of fact I'm strongly convinced old Snape had no idea what he was getting into. His pretence to know the boy's mission was just a magnificent bluff gone wrong)

Well, Draco wasn't incapacitated by any means, and he wasn't strictly unable to go on with it . . . he was just hesitating.

Point. I think a cunning twist is allowed to be fiddled out of those restrictions.

I think Snape (and Dumbledore) knew what Draco's mission was initially, that was just kept from the readers until the end. Snape knew that it was something Draco didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of accomplishing when he agreed to the oath, so he had to have known what it was. He just wasn't expecting that last part of the oath, for sure.

I find it amusing that I knew the thing about the unfortunate...you know of...you know who...and also who did it...and who he was...a good three days before the book came out and I still don't have the slightest idea what ya'll are talking about.

Maybe I'll read the book sometime.

I realise I am a cruel, cruel person but I couldn't help laughing hysterically at this...
...right up until I seriously tryed to picture the images in question... silly girl... when the mental censorship software says 'NO' it's really not a good idea to deliberately over-ride it...
