Today the bill allowing same sex marrage went for its final reading in the House of Commons and passed 158 to 133.

it still has to go through the Senate before its law, but that shouldnt take too long.

its a damn good day to be Canadian.

And the U.S. Supreme court ruled that cities can take away your house and use the land to build malls, office buildings, or parking lots, "in the interests of the public."

I'm more desperate than ever to get a job. Four years of working will get me access to Professional Engineer status...and I'll be that much more appealing to Canadian Immigration. (Plus, the situation might change by then...I don't want to be rash, after all.)
