Site Problems

Post by Andrew Hickey »

I've got net access back after 6 months offline, *finally*, and am planning to update my comic tomorrow or saturday, but all pages between the first one and the one before last have disappeared. The files are still there, but when clicking on the pages there's a 404 error.

Have you tried running a manual update?

And when you say "the files are still there," what do you mean? WHICH files?

Yep. Manual update hasn't helped.
What I mean is that when I go into the FTP, the images and .txt files are all still there. It's just when I try to actually open the pages on the site that I get 404 errors.

the image files are where?

/workspace/comics

or

/public_html/comics

?

Also, what .txt files? Do you mean that you use .txt files for your webpages, and those are there, or do you mean the comments for your comics?

There was a recent glitch that did this. Try reuploading your dailytemplate.html file and running a full update. If that doesn't work, call back. Normally I wouldn't say do a full update for anything, but Kisai ran full updates for most of keenspace when this happened.
