This is actually a good idea, it works pretty well, plus, you can always change their name later. eg: Two of my main characters are named May and June (originally going to be June and July, but that didn't fit IMO) See what I do is just decide on first names ONLY. That way I still had some freedom to change their name and such. LOL, their last names went from Hanford to Stevens to Enzostephani, to...well I'm still deciding...hehehe...

Eh, I just think of a name that would seem right for the character. Or whatever comes to mind. Some of my characters are based on real people, and I just use their nicknames.
