Tear out his lungs!!!
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Hmm. From 'nudie shot' to full bore BD/SM in one easy move. Y'know, there probably are people who would pay for shots of that. Probably Martys former models, to begin with. Unfortunately, the first thing Thelma will probably do is force feed Marty his cameral

Ah, I see. That's the point.

Now break his other wrist.

More to the point, anyone see the look in Thelma's eyes? She's obviously acting out of fear. Flight-or-Fight responses kicking in, and Fight seems to have the upper hand.

...Nope... No Jury in the south would convict her...

Thelma, put that down. You don't know where it's been. (And, I don't want to know.)

I get an impression there an in-joke in the photog's name, Marty, but I don't know what it would be. "Up against the Wall Marty"? He's cheap, that's for sure.

Actually, it sounds a lot like "Larry"... as in Larry Flint? Guy who runs a porno mag?

Anyway, I love the subtlety in today's strip. :D If you look at Thelma's expression in the second panel, and then examine it in the third, you'll notice just the slightest move from fear to anger. She has definitely chosen "fight", and we're just seeing the first half-second of the process. She can only go down from here... as in down on the floor, holding Marty in a sleeper hold. And I'm not talking about a position for sex either.

GO GET 'IM, THELMA!! GIVE 'IM THE CHAIR!! THE CHAIR!!
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what's happening in the second frame. Thel's bikini top is blocked by -something-, and I'm trying to decide if Marty's got his other hand up there. If so, she seems to have grabbed and broken his -other- wrist, not the directly offending one.

With any luck, she'll break -both- of them before it's over. :D And pig-lady needs to be force-fed her telephone.

I believe that that's Thelma's left hand.

I'm not into any sport, but I have been looking forword to this smackdown for awhile. Speaking of expressions, I like how his turns to absolute fear in the third panle.

I don't know about you, but my wrist bends almost 90 degrees each way...

Am I the only who'll be glad when this depressing arc is over? :( About the only good outcome I see is a career in wrestling for Thelma, unless it turns into a one-shot like Nip's stunt work appears to have done :(

It is a good submission hold. Very painful and doesn't take much strength to do. His wrist isn't broken, but it sure does feel like it.

I thought is was a hold that can be used to control the offenders movement. One of my former co-workers at camp is a Marine, and he bet one of the other guys that he (the Marine) could beat him in a one-on-one fight (No blood, or other nasty stuff, just to a tap-out). Mike, the other guy, played only one move, I don't remember its name, or the little rules on it, but something about keeping the hand 90 degrees to the fore arm, the forearm 90 for the upperarm, etc.

Pushed the Marine to the ground with one hand like that. Kinda cool.
